In terms of signs, I would ONLY show the parent & child bays sign and not show that first one nor refer to it.

And I like your point 2 much better than the template intro and point one. Don't use that intro or the template 'unclear signs' point. It detracts from your point 2 which is bespoke.

Remove 6. Has no legs at POPLA.

Great, thank you. I’ll make these changes tonight.

So would you get rid of the section about entry signage too and just stick with point 2 essentially?

I'd keep the section on no entrance signs. Those are good pics.

Paint a picture of arriving to a site with no Code of Practice mandated entrance sign then, at the parent and child bays, the list of contraventions that give rise to a PCN do not include any obligation about parking within a bay. Nor is the pink tarmac edging - there to make that bay wider, to facilitate ease of access for parents with babies - given any status. Quite simply, there is no breach of a term on the parent & child bays specific sign, so the PCN was not properly given.

(use those words; they are designed to steer POPLA). Bin the awful intro that people keep copying. It's a mess!

I think I've made these changes correctly. Cut out lots of text and all images that contain T&C signs except the parent and child one. Kept point 1 about entry signs as point 1 because my OCD tells me that entry should be the first point. Used your wording above verbatim at the end of point 2. Removed point 6. Let me know if you think I've cut too much or should still swap points 1 & 2 around, or add some stuff back and I'll be good to make the appeal soon.

    Many thanks!

I'd remove the final picture, as that is the 'P' entrance sign that your first point says isn't there!

    And this should read 2024:

"the British Parking Association Single Code of Practice 2025"

I parked exactly the same way possibly the same spot. Both appeal’s failed I’m still thinking of not paying. If I ended up in court what are my chances based on the above?

Only a judge can answer that question,  depending on the circumstances,  the facts,  the evidence,  the claim details,  the defence details and the 2 witness statements

Obviously you won't be paying a private PCN, all the time that the industry remains unregulated.

     :)

The NEWBIES thread second post already explains that your chances in court - 99% wins here for years, and no CCJ risk - are nearly three times better than chances at POPLA.
