I have just noticed that pop telecom added router assurance and hybrid assurance to my bill, this was after 5 or 6 months. When I rang to query and ask why my bill had increased, at first I was just told it was assurance, I asked why it been added, was told I could ask for it to be removed from the next bill, I pointed out that I hadn't asked for it to be added and my contract stated I didn't ask for it at sign upand I had this in my service confirmation email. I was then told they had a system problem and they were aware of the issue, I asked if they were aware why were they still taking the money and hadn't refunded or emailed me? Finally she agreed to credit me the amount back! Something fishy is going on, either they are aware and don't care or they are just making excuses, please check your bills ASAP!

15. Router Assurance - POP telecom provides an optional service to protect your router from breakdown. The service is provided FREE for the first two months and is charged at £2.50 per month thereafter. In the situation that your router fails for any reason contact us and we will arrange a replacement unit to be sent only charging the delivery cost. This can be cancelled at anytime as long as you have not benefited from the service.Life in the slow lane0 -
As I said, I deleted it at sign up, my invoice showed it to as not ordered. Also I signed up and went live in Sept and it was added in March, not after the two months in your post, lastly the agent on the phone admitted there were issues with it being added in error! So... They took monies they were not entitled to and that's why I gave the heads up, because of what the customer service agent said!0

The type of company they are has been widely discussed on this and other forums , did you know about their somewhat ‘shady’ practices before you signed up , I recall seeing many posts effectively saying don’t touch them with a barge pole around 6-12 months ago ….0
