Credit on prepaid mobile phone to cash, HELP!
First of all, apologies if this is the wrong thread...
Yesterday I got one of those free BT sim cards with a £10 eVoucher. I've also registered online (£1 for that) so £11 in total.
I already have a contract with loads of free minutes, I just want to convert that credit into cash. Traditionally I have been using Jamster + Quidco (with the Virgin sim cards with £5 credit), but I was just wondering... is there any better way of doing it?
What a bout prepaid credit cards and quidco (sun/tuxedo)? Any ideas?
Thanks!

im tempted to try the sun prepaid card, please could you tell me how you have managed this in the past with jamster etc.. would appreciate it very much, just got £87 back from O2 and would like it on a card to spend rather than waste on calls!
many thanks0 -
I did the splash plastic card on quidco and got £10 cashback.
It costs £5 paid with sms message_________________________________:starmod: Please do not feed the trolls! :starmod::beer:0 -
Didn`t notice the Jamster thing before, just used the remaining credit for (hopefully) £4.27 cashback, so that makes £14.27 free money from the BT sim card :beer:_________________________________:starmod: Please do not feed the trolls! :starmod::beer:0

Whats this jamster thing then?Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0

If you have any of the free sim cards with at least £4.50 credit on them (Virgin, BT) you can use it to join jamster and get £4.27 cashback._________________________________:starmod: Please do not feed the trolls! :starmod::beer:0

what you do is get a sim card with free credit such as the virgin sim's with £5 free credit
then you go on quidco, search for jamster and then sign up to a jamster subscriptio (this is taken from your free sim cards credit) then once you have signed up quidco will give you £4.27 so in other words you get £4.27 for free (some people purchase a 50p ringtone or something after signing up the subscription) also once you've done that throw the sim away because jamster is a rolling subscription so if you top up with your money it'll get taken by jamster every month.0 -

Quidco is currently giving "£10 for an activated card (within 45 days of application)"
What does "activated" card mean? You just need to buy it (£5 out of your sim) or do you need to do an initial topup?
Minimum topup seems to be £10 and there is a one off fee of £4.95. So if I understand it correctly, if a topup is needed there is no point? (just 0.05 profit)
Also, there seems to be a 2.5% transaction fee on purchases, so you won't be able to get your full tenner back.
Tuxed/The sun seem to be far worse. Similar fees but more expensive card and less cashback on quidco.
And about jamster, is it possible to register twice with the same sim?

Sorry you can only register for Jamster once per mobile number even if you send STOP in the meantime.0

You activate it when it arrives by phoning the automated line with your activation code which will be on the card (I think you can do it online as well). No need to top up with any money for the cashback, you just pay for the card with a code in the SMS message they send you (£5 cost)

BTW, if anyone still has the £10 BT sim cards, if you register them online you will get an additional £1 as well as the £1 already on the card, so you will have £12 credit.
This would be enough to do both the Splash card & Sun card on quidco for a total of £15 cashback_________________________________:starmod: Please do not feed the trolls! :starmod::beer:0
