Me neither,  but I gave you 2 strategies in response to your query,  not from experience

These days mediation is compulsory,  so that might be the better option,  nobody can tell you which is best, but one is voluntary,  the other is compulsory since last year

This is an example of the latter

    1) Should I just write to them refusing to give the name of the driver and then ignore all communication?

    2) How likely is it that they will take this to court?
    1) NO, definitely not

    2) highly likely

Follow the wise advice already given in this thread,  dont try to wriggle away,  deal with it as described by coupon mad above.  You wont find alternatives,  so stop looking

Defend the claim then await mediation! Easy.

Yes, you need to put in a decent defence, so use the template (but without admitting any liability) and bluff at mediation that you're happy to go to hearing. Otherwise you'll end up settling at £200 instead of £60-£100.

I’m taking responsibility of the situation and I’m going to pay the full amount asked, I don’t really have a leg to stand on regarding a defence..

Please can you advise the best way to pay and have this case closed? Thank you

Contact the litigation department at Parking Eye and negotiate a settlement

    Or alternatively

Defend the case,  then negotiate a settlement at the compulsory mediation stage in a few weeks time
I gave you the correct answers back on page 1

Contact the litigation team at Parking Eye and negotiate a settlement,  perhaps between £50 and say £120

You have every right to defend the claim. Claims like this are routinely struck out due to bad particulars and claiming excessive amounts. For example, how can they ask for £125 and rely on POFA 2012?

Defending the claim is not about just the contract itself, its also about parking eye complying with legal requirements to bring the claim and this is where the claim fails.

They will definitely settle at mediation because the claim will likely be struck out if defended properly.

The best way is exactly what we already said. Simply put in a full defence (use the template, it's there for you) then settle at Mediation which could be for as little as £60.

This is definitely the better option of the 2 I suggested,  so we don't know why you would ignore the wise advice and pay in full  ?  Doesn't make sense,  far better to negotiate at the mediation stage

Thank you, I feel that I don’t have a defence as my partner didn’t pay AT ALL, how can I possibly write a defence for this? This is my reasoning for wanting to pay in full to resolve this matter
