Hi everyone, I received this today, it doesn’t look good, I wasn’t the driver of the vehicle at the time of this incident so I don’t know the reasons as to why the driver couldn’t of paid to park here, do I have a leg to stand on regarding this matter?
Thank you all (Image removed by Forum Team)

Yep we can all see it's a real claim form, same as pictured in every second thread.
Just read the SECOND post of the NEWBIES thread (we will not link it; see my signature for how to hop there in a nanosecond).
Read the SECOND POST OF IT ONLY.
Then do the AOS (explained there with a walkthrough pictorial guide) then use the Template Defence and draft your facts, which slot into paragraph 3.What caused the PCN? The accusation is that you didn't pay (at all)? What happened?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

My partner was driving at the time and admits to not paying for a ticket, I’m going to pay it this time as it’s in my name, is there any way i can pay this and not pay the full amount?Coupon-mad said:Yep we can all see it's a real claim form, same as pictured in every second thread.

Contact the litigation department at Parking Eye and negotiate a settlement
Or alternatively
Defend the case, then negotiate a settlement at the compulsory mediation stage in a few weeks time2 -
Thank you, I’ve never experienced things like this before. What method is best and what wording should I use to them? Thank you againGr1pr said:Contact the litigation department at Parking Eye and negotiate a settlement

Me neither, but I gave you 2 strategies in response to your query, not from experience
These days mediation is compulsory, so that might be the better option, nobody can tell you which is best, but one is voluntary, the other is compulsory since last year
This is an example of the latter

Should I just write to them refusing to give the name of the driver and then ignore all communication? How likely is it that they will take this to court?Gr1pr said:Me neither, but I gave you 2 strategies in response to your query, not from experience

Errr... they already have a court claim in! Of course you can't resolve this by just "writing to them".GoLong86 said:

You'll get a CCJ if you ignore this and fail to defend the claim!
You have a claim form and obviously you defend it. Dead easy template stuff. I told you how. Do that. Defend IN FULL. Do it in time. It is very easy.
Then just make a couple of offers at Mediation phone call in the Summer. Simple.
