POPLA HIGH SIGN AND SUN BLINDING ON ENTRANCE

Options
HI
I was accompanying a Learner driver onto a closed home bargains store.
18.45

They wanted to practice bay parking.
We were on for 28 min when a member of staff who was leaving said best to leave as we would recieve a fine.

Today the fine arrived.

I went back to the carpark to see how on earth we did not see the signs

I enclose a picture of the entrance to the carpark. Same time too, as sun again today, is low and blinding.

The sign is so high up, its impossible to see when in a car, never mind with blinding sun, as its above the window. higher than the rear view mirror too. That hedge on the left, for reference is about nearly 6ft high.

We didnt exit the vehicle. just a quick practice, in a bay and out and in again, before the staff alerted us.

I NOW see (as a pedestrian) a "max 2 hour stay" in letters 2 inch high with less than 1inch high states no parking from 18.00

    You don't have a fine!

    Who is it from?

Ignore it. Read the NEWBIES Thread first and either appeal or don't. Up to you but no paying it, obviously!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You asked that directly underneath my signature which tells everyone where to click on one of the two 'breadcrumb trail' links that of course appear on every page.

Just like when you do online shopping.

We avoid posting another link as that defeats the object of newbies confidently learning how to navigate the forum.
