No. 154 checking in - November OP £627, bringing my total for the year so far to £5,686. Still in with a chance of making my target if I'm careful :j

Oh well never say never. I changed utilities and got £175 refund, woo hoo. That makes it £3275 overpayment this year. I was hoping to get to £4000 but I've also save £2200 as part of my offset instead of paying it off. Thanks for the inspiration and support. It's a breakthrough month for me my total has dipped into a new category dipping below £160k for the first time.

  • Hi Everyone

New to the forum but avid reader of MSE.

OH and I have just started making OP on both our mortgages - split accounts for 1 house!

Total OP for Nov 2008 was £1000 split between the 2.

We are planning at being mortgage free by end 2020.

    Good luck to all...

Congratulations Bellbells. I hope you are feeling well.

i have just been offered extra hours at work, not sure when I start but the extra will be added to the overpayment. It's only temporary but it will help. Should be about £100 extra a month.

Managed to make my £500 overpayment again this month so on target to reach £6000 for the year (the maximum I can pay according to the BSoc rules without incurring penalties). Haven't been able to update my signature yet as I won't be able to see the payment till the computer updates overnight. Are we still sending our updates to Bellbells - or is she tied up with the new baby? Hope all is going well for your by the way!

It hasn't been an easy month as DD2 ha lost her job and although she can pay her rent till Feb we are guarrantors and will have to take it on if she hasn't found work by then! Let's hope she finds something in the new year.

Well i popped my November over payment in today taking my overpayment to £3000 which is my target and still my December standing order of £200 to go in.:j Don't think I will be putting anything extra onto Decembers overpayment as I need to buy hubby's birthday and Christmas pressie which both fall in December, but I'm very pleases that i will be exceeding my o/p by 200 and it's all thanks to you guys on this thread.:beer:We have decided to go to Disney world next year in October so the rainy day savings part of my signature will be spent on that and perhaps a bit more as it's just so expensive to get there but we will still be over paying the same if not more (hopefully). So a big thank you to everyone on this thread and a bigger thank you to bells for starting this crazy roller coaster ride.:D isn't it fun!!
I am now debt free! Whoop whoop! :money::beer:
