If your total capital is £16,000 or more, you are generally not entitled to receive Universal Credit. However, if you've been receiving Tax Credits and have over £16,000 in savings, you may still be eligible for Universal Credit for up to a year5

what wrong I’ve done and the consequences
Jail?- for a less serious offence, for example making false representation to obtain benefits, penalties can range from discharge to a lower-level fine

As others have said, you won't go to prison. You will have to repay all the overpayments and there may be a fine on top. I'm not sure if fines are still imposed as it's a few years since I worked on Benefits.0

I think because I submitted unaware I had no savings I’d my biggest worry
looking back at my journal statements every month it shows I said £0.00 savings
so they never asked for bank statements when I first applied or I’d have shown savings?
im spending all day trying to find out online how they view this
I think since 2022 I’ve received over £10k
im willing to pay every penny back and really hope that’s the matter closed with no further legal action

When you first applied, unless you had & declared over £6k you wouldn't have been asked for bank statements.
I advised you on another forum how to obtain a copy of your original application declaration for savings.0 -
I’m just very worried
