Cleaned the garage up today (pile ready for the tip and one for the charity shop) while OH sorted/tidied bits in his work van ready for the week.
We walked up town, enjoyed some lunch (feta & mediterranean salad baguette) with a cuppa and then sorted out a new bathroom light for my Ma.
Restful afternoon as OH is watching the footie, I’m reading and planning everything for the next week.
Hoping for a productive week.."There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇6 -
Bits of this and bits of that. Went to the allotment first thing, it’s as dry as a bone, and a brisk northerly breeze. Came home with rhubarb, spinach and chard, did something else, obviously memorable. After lunch I s&s the bathroom and the downstairs toilet (gross), made some chard pesto, boiled a couple of eggs for tomorrow’s lunch, faffed in the gh. Dinner tonight is sorted, as half of the chard pesto will come into play. Meal plan needed for next week, although we are out and about on a couple of days. Trying to motivate myself to do HHI.4

In the past 12 hours I have
- dealt with some more admin (3 important emails)
- waved DH off to a wargames sale, where he decluttered a large crate of unwanted books and figures
- drove to church in the rain, which stopped after only 5 minutes and hasn't been back
- returned two pairs of "drum"-sticks and two stones to W&M, which they had brought back from the forest on Thursday and left outside our front door
- been to MrS and bought a couple of things that I couldn't get from MrAl on Friday, as well as some trousers which have unfortunately turned out to be much too wide in the leg (they make me look like the back half of an elephant - I haven't got the ears to be the front half
) so will have to be returned asap
- fed us twice, nothing too complicated
- slept off the effects of shopping
- walked Rosie a bit further than usual, so that I could see if there were any bluebells left in the little covert. They all looked very dark, and I thought they were on their last legs, until I peered over the top of my specs and realised that it was the brown tint making the flowers look like that
- watered the pots in the back garden, including the beans and peas that I planted yesterday
- tried to pluck up the energy/courage/right words to write a message about exploring space to my sponsored child: I shall have to forbid myself to watch this evening's episode of The Piano until it's done
- fully intended to phone my friend J (not the gardener) about visiting her, but got sidetracked by a jigsaw and left it too late to make the call: it might wake her daughter up if I rang now. I shall have to resort to a text, which I dislike.
Narc0, it's great when a reorganising plan comes together, isn't it? I have rearranged my study several times since I retired as I have come to realise that I need to keep less and less. Your idea about putting the upstairs hoover in the former airing cupboard has made me think that I could usefully do the same with my old hoover, which I replaced with the rechargeable stick because the old hoover was too heavy for me to cart up and down the stairs, so thanks for the inspiration!

Been into work and cleaned the co-working/office space.
Been to pub with DS and DiL - pub quiz - didn't win; music bingo -didn't win but we won playing card bingo which was the best prize as the winner takes the money which was £30 so we had £10 each. Other prizes are £20 bar tabs.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
