What a lovely splash of colour, Valli!
I forgot to say earlier that I have done WMx3 today, and I've spent part of this evening doing the second sort of the postcards. Also, DH somehow managed to lose 2.5lb this week
- that's 2.5lb more than I've managed

A few hints for Strands, so far only two lines on Connections and Wordle in five. About normal for me.Zero flying today as Wren had a vet appointment and I took her for a 4+ mile way in Plymbridge Woods. She was terrified at the vet's and absolutely loved the walk and zipping in and out of the water plus which she let me pick a pile of wild garlic and stop and admire the blue bells which are mostly English ones rather than Spanish, which is what we've got in the garden here. We're both now knackered.Better is good enough.5

I meant to post yesterday. And again the morning. Anyhoo…. yesterday I managed to keep my flylady stripes by cleaning upstairs, including the bathroom, and the tile grout. Ticked off a check up at the dentist and coffee with a friend as well.
Lucky that I made an effort yesterday, as today we played hookey (we knew the electrician wasn’t coming, he is supposed to be here at 8.30am tomorrow…), drove about 1.5 hours each way to a NT property. Spent a glorious day walking through the wooded paths, looking at the lake and woodland garden, even made a cultural effort and visited the house. I even remembered to pack the water, suncream, coffee and sandwiches. We did have a sneaky ice cream though before the drive home. But boy is it warm outside!6 -
Evening all. Wordle in four.
Just the dailies and dog walks today as I went for a lovely lunch with friends between work shifts.Spend less now, work less later.7 -

Morning all. Hope you're coping with the heat! I woke up at 5.20am (ie dawn) so am feeling shattered by now, and there's no chance of zzz this afternoon as W and M's school has an INSET day - so inconsiderate of them! - and K has to go to work, so I'm babysitting. We are planning to take Rosie and the girls up to the forest, where it will be cool under the trees, but I'm feeding them lunch here before we go. They can also help me plant my runner beans and peas-for-peashoots in pots.
So far today I have
- got Wordle in 5, got stuck on Strands and failed miserably at Connections
- FUPA clean washing
- showered and dressed, S&S'd the bathroom
- eaten breakfast, cleared the kitchen
- made my bed
- decluttered a phonecall from the surgery about my BP meds
- checked the latest version of our holibobs itinerary sent by the travel agent, discovered a glaring error (whereby we would be catching a connecting train 20min before we arrived at the interchange), so rang them to say they need to sort this out! The document also stated that we needed to pay our deposit asap, whereas we had paid in full before Easter. I was previously very impressed with their efficiency, but not so much now
- done a 5min PUPA in the DR and LR
- hoovered all through downstairs
- deadheaded my 6th amaryllis and moved it back onto the landing windowsill, where I discovered that my 7th and last ("Christmas Star" by name, though obviously not by nature) has come into bud, making 7/7 blooming since January
- checked to see if the mini-greenhouse shelves have been stored on top of the tool cupboard (they have) so asked DH to help me get them down
- made myself another cuppa.
Girls expected imminently, so must dash. I must not forget to give Rosie her flea treatment tablet! And I need to collect my own meds from the pharmacy.
Have a good day - and don't forget to vote if you're in one of those districts where there is an election. Love and (((hugs))) to all xxx

Hello all.
Wordle in four, one line on connections.
Dog walk, first work shift and two wash loads which are now on line are done. Windows are cleaned outside at the front but I was out and forgot to unlock the back gate so the window cleaner couldn't access the back. Doh!Spend less now, work less later.5
