How can I keep cats/wildlife out of my milk deliveries?

The simpliest way would be to get a coolbox but I have limited space in my house as I am an upstairs cottage flat and I currently have a milk holder and have a canvas bag tight around it and when not in use I hook it to the wall in my kitchen.

I tend to get about 1 delivery a week damaged by wildlfie, I assume cats as it's around 6am, doesn't register on my doorcam.

This week 3 out of the 4 bottles I bought were damaged so is mounting up, as each bottle costs around £1.10 each.

Relative has suggested to me to just buy from corner shop as they sell the same milk for £1.49 as even though it costs more I know it won't be damaged.

A previous plan was to get a zip bag and then use that but hard to find one that fits.

    Damaged in what way ?

If you are getting full fat milk in bottles with foil tops and are finding holes in the foil it could be birds - blue tits in particular used to be known for doing this.

If it is this could you switch to getting it delivered in cartons instead ? or provide some yoghurt pots or something similar and ask the deliverer to put them over the tops of the bottles to protect the tops ?

This is the sort of thing I've seen before for milk bottles, insulated and takes 4 bottles

Could be birds but i'd say cats most likely as it always happens around 6am and I know people in the street that let their cats out at that time, it's always the lid is at very list slit never holes and sometimes its slit and on the ground.

And it's not just full fat film though seems they are more likely to get targeted, I get semi skimmed twice a week and whole milk twice a week.

I wanted it in bottles for the novelty, Old Yogurt pot's may be a good idea for this.

If it was a tiny one yes, but would require permission from my landlord.

I hardly think its cats. Most felines are well fed by their owners and wont be tempted to go to an upstairs flat just to get a few licks of milk, if they are lucky. Its more likely to be birds but if the bottles have been knocked over then maybe its a stronger, smarter animal such as a fox. Anyhow, as someone else has suggested, yoghurt pots could be tried. Ask the milkman if he would that for you.

Could you buy some silicone milk bottle tops and ask the milkman to pop them on when they leave the milk?
