Out of interest, I see you found the NTK which I bet was for £70?

The signs say £70 according to Google Streetview:

But Gladstones have pleaded this claim for £80. We've seen this over-charging inflated claim error on every Tesco claim form this Summer.

It's almost like Gladstones have guessed or just 'fronted' (paid the court fees themselves) to 'maintain' a bulk load of claims based on guesswork or just a standard £80 taken from other Horizon retail parks.

Thing is, at Tesco it's always £70 not £80.

This whole batch look like champertous claims which the MHCLG should stamp out asap.

Simple, offer £0, zero,  stand your ground, or possibly offer £5 or £10, but no big money

If you dont want to settle, or cannot agree a settlement figure,  say so and hang up  ( no discussing the case,  only money   )

Can you confirm the NTK says £70?

BTW this is a point if contract law for the defendant's benefit. I'm not suggesting they offer £70 or anything at all!

    Have you done this please?

    FIGHTBACK ALERT:

Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline next week.

    See this thread:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-now-extended-closes-friday-26th-september/p1

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam over 18 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.

    CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.

That's because Horizon added £10 of the DRA fee to the £70 PCN during pre-action phase. Then Gladstones has added £70 on top which means they have incorrectly stated the PCN.

See the sign I showed above. It was £70.

But you didn't know! How would you?

As @Gr1pr says, this observation can go into your Witness Statement & Exhibits bundle in 2026 before any hearing.

"The shonky claim is so poorly pleaded that it even gets the PCN quantum wrong! The claim should be dismissed on the spot, judge."

Use your anger & energy on the public consultation this week. It's important. Look at today's news on this outrageous scam:
