Thank you so much @elsiepac for running the thread. You do an amazing job keeping everything updated. You have been a bit quiet lately since you lost your of beautiful budgie. I hope that you are OK.
We are nearly half way through our yearly budget. In my defence we have been covering all school holidays food for daughter and her 3 boys but she has also bought lots of bits with he. I think we are also being affected by rising prices. Meat especially. Our battered fish this week was 2 thirds it's normal size. Anyway I am still going to try to make more cutbacks to stay inside £3300 for the year. With that in mind I am cutting budget to £300 for May
We have son daughter in law and 3 GC coming for 5 days so it is going to be tight. There are no allergies so they will be easier to bake/ cook for. 🤞craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Thanks for running this elsiepac.
Please can you put me down for £200 for May.
I had a massive overspend in April, so I hope to claw some back. My budget for the year is £3600, which divides into £300 per month, so time to get back on track.6 -
Count me in, please, @elsiepac. Thank you for the new thread.
Our May budget will be £160.
That’s for two adults and covers all groceries purchased at the supermarket, but not meat purchased at the butcher’s shop. (That has a separate budget.). Our month runs from the 1st to the 31st.

£12.33 in Home bargains on household cleaners/toiletries/loo roll
£48.74 in LIdl. This was a stock up shop for things that will do us throughout the month. Bits for the freezer and pantry as well as ingredients to make this weeks meals.

Dinners this week:
Sunday & Monday - Spicy Mince Pilaf
Tuesday & Wednesday - Tuna Crunch
Thursday - Quesadillas
Friday & Saturday - Pasta bake

Lunches for DH will be Roll & sausage and/or pizza slices
I'll do some baking tonight and make fruit scones and something else (as yet undecided) for sweet treats to minimise buying treats from the local corner shop.Frugal Living challenge 2025

Thank you @elsiepac for running the thread.
New budget of £600, please.
I look like I’m coming in slightly under budget for April and I’ve been inspired by all you lovely folk so I’m going to challenge myself and drop a little again. We are a 4 adult home, mostly vegan, and budget includes all food, toiletries, cleaning, and cat food.
Good luck all!
