£20.11 spent in Lidl today.
I unfortunately did my usual picking up random bits and bobs, only to be more shocked at the cost of the shop and how much the prices have gone up.
I'm hoping to have plenty in for the weekend though.
Edit to add that the odds and sods include salad bits for the weekend and dinner for tonight.Decluttering campaign 2023

Evening everyone, hope you're all making the most of the lovely weather and not spending any money you don't absolutely have to!
I'm claiming a NSD which is rather miraculous as I was severely tempted by the supermarket on my way home from my walk but managed to resist because I was too tired to walk any further. It just shows that being lazy can be money saving!
Anyway I made the first hummus on this page earlier today which turned out easy and delicious and am planning to have a go at the aubergine and feta kefte further down the page over the Bank Holiday. I'm also going to make this tofu peanut lettuce cups recipe to use up some kecap manis and peanuts that have been hanging around for a while.
I always have fruit, yoghurt and coffee for breakfast and salad with cheese/eggs/hummus for lunch so I think that's all the meal planning I need to do for now.8 -
Declaring the first spend of the month. For the cats - 2kg dry cat food = £4.99/£50. For human/household £25.37/£50 - but that did include a stock-up on ice-cream and sun lotion which together came to approx £5 and not a regular buy.8

£10.01 spent on a splurge of 3 different types of cheeses and 2 large oranges at a garden centre food shop.
I've definitely got plenty in and really must try to resist the shops at least for the rest of the weekend until Monday.
I will need to get more fruit and salad vegetables then.

Went to a neighbouring town this morning, primarily to use my £5 off a £25 spend voucher in Lidl, but I also called into my third favourite community fridge and picked up a few bits there.
In Lidl I bought milk, butter, dog food tins, a block of mature Cheddar cheese, some pineapple cottage cheese, a tub of Cornish clotted cream ice cream, some cornetto style ice creams and some chocolate raisins as a treat. After the voucher it came to £20.16.
The £1 donation at my third favourite CF yielded:
2 bags Nando's peri-peri coated chicken wings (frozen, but I managed to get them home and into the freezer before they defrosted).
3 large carrots
8 golden delicious apples
2 large beefsteak tomatoes
1 pack cress
2 croissants (now stashed in the freezer)
2 chocolate coated doughnuts (to have when a friend visits this afternoon for a cuppa)
1 x 2 litre bottle Tango fizzy orange
1 Soreen malt loaf
1 bag of about 20 small Go Ahead apple/muesli/oat bar things (the grandchildren will like these)
My updated total for the month is now £22.60/£160

Evening all, hope everyone is well.
I did a quick salad and milk top up this afternoon at M*rks and was interested to see that it was all the ready prepared stuff which was running out while the fresh veg and fruit were still well stocked. I bought milk, lemons, yoghurt, garlic, tomatoes, spring cabbage, rolls, lettuce and cucumber for £11.85.
Included in that was some skimmed milk to use in my yoghurt maker to see if I can produce a palatable greek style version so wish me luck.
My new GC total is £27.01/£150."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."
