G24/DCB Legal claim form

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone can help me out here because I’m really stressed about this situation.
Almost 6 years ago (around 5 years and 11 months back), I do not recall parking at an address where I occasionally shopped. I don’t recall any signage or notices stating a maximum stay or pay requirement—if there had been, I would’ve paid to avoid a fine.
At the time, I never received a PCN at the address where my vehicle was registered. I changed my address 4 months later and updated the DVLA, but still got nothing at my new address. Then, out of the blue in January 2025, I started getting letters from DCB Legal demanding payment or threatening bailiffs.
After searching online, I saw many people saying these letters are just scare tactics and can be ignored. But now, I’ve been hit with a Tribunal claim for over £900! I’m panicking—what are my options here? It feels unfair that the statute of limitation might not even apply.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? Any advice would be hugely appreciated, as must reply back in 14 daysI think? — I’m really worried about this.

I've literally only received a letter today which is a claim form on behalf of G24 and DCB Legal. I wonder if they're trying their luck because I'm sure there is a 6 year cut-off for chasing a PCN. Looks like they're trying to scrape some money before they can't chase anymore. I'm not sure on how to deal with my own just yet, hopefully we both get some help with this!2

They are chasing up hundreds of old claims before the 6 year timeout deadline
No tribunal is involved here, just the Moneyclaim system, via the CNBC in Northampton
Study the Peahead thread advice and do the same things as they are doing

You defend, starting with posting the issue date from the claim form and a redacted picture of the POC on the lower left of the claim form after hiding the VRM details first4 -
It's not a 'Tribunal'. Please edit your thread title when you can (after ten posts or so, you get Forumite status). Same advice as in Peahead's thread. Honestly it is a CINCH to defend!
You will likely never pay although this case (being £900 and an overstay at a shop) is likely to go to a hearing whereas Peahead's won't. Why did three overstays happen?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just managed to get one for over 30 PCNs from G24 to time out over on FTLA. By the time they issued the LoC, there were only 6 left within the statutory timeframe and just delayed everything using the usual PAP tactics until there were none left.7

What a shame neither @Peahead96 nor @meetzainkhan came here a month or so ago when they got their LBCs. Would have been so simple to time out the above three May 2019 PCNs with one delaying email...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Oh dear as above you could have easily timed these out.

Go to the newbies thread at the top of the forum and use the standard defence.
Never seen a G24 claim go to hearing. Very high chance of DCB Legal discontinuing at the eleventh hour, even though it's £900.They may be able to provide a generic sign template that they have on file, but I doubt they will have any actual photos from 6 years ago for a site where an abandoned Homebase now decays. 6 years makes things difficult for them to make their case.If you made a purchase and can find it on a bank statement it might be handy.6 -
Hi everyone,First, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who took the time to respond and offer advice—it means a lot. I’m sorry for my late reply, but I’ve been dealing with an incredibly difficult time as my father passed away three days ago, and I’ve only just been able to look into this issue again.I’m still trying to process everything, but I know I need to address this tribunal claim despite the circumstances. If anyone has further guidance or can point me toward the best steps forward, I’d be so grateful. Thanks again for your patience and understanding.0

There's a Password still showing on the claim.2
