When I looked at the O2 website after signing in the contracts on offer are very expensive, yet going through a comparison site they are much cheaper.
I am worried there is a catch that I have missed.
If there is a catch then my use of these deals for the last three years has failed to find it.

The contracts are with O2, normally described as "affiliate" rates or somesuch. Make sure that you are getting the extras like roaming etc that you want.
  • Hi.
I'm 88 years old and simply want a sim with Calls & Texting for my dumb phone.
    I've always gone for PAYG.
But recently didn't like the way EE was forcing me over to a contract.

I tried O2 but no coverage where I live.
So I went over to 1pMobile which has been disastrous with unauthorised payments taken out of my account soon as I joined.
So I left, using my legal 14 day cooling off period to do so..

Finally from the advice of a friend. I'm now with Asda Mobile with Unlimited Calls & Texts.
Plus 3g of data (Which I don't use)
"All this for just £2.50 a month  for 6 months" then just £5 a month after that = a 24 month deal.
Total cost of £105 for the 24 months.
I'm over the moon with it....!!. It saves allot on my landline phone calls...!!

I hope this is useful for someone out there who
"Just wants the basics at a 'good-low-price'. Like me.
Service is jolly good as well.
Its there for you 365 days a year..!!

Asda Mobile also do a £4/month unlimited calls & text (no data) deal too - 1 month contract.
