I have never had any problems with them not answering phone calls.
I did finally get through after 51 minutes on hold.  I was told I would get my withdrawal on Tuesday.  I was also told the system sometimes adds 0s to the account number and other customers were a bit worried by this also but its nothing to worry about and still works fine.

I opened an account with them just an hour before this thread started and so far I’m not impressed. Still awaiting the code they said they’d send for the nominated account authorisation. Luckily I only deposited a small amount so am not too worried just annoyed that I shall have to look elsewhere for a new account again.
  • Good morning All, this is my first post. How long should it take to receive my authentication code to enable me to make withdrawals???

I did get my withdrawal last Tuesday as I was told by CS, 5 or 6 days after I requested it which is really slow imo.  Bank holiday weekend is what caused it sure, but its still slow really.  Other easy access savers are immediate.  Of course Charter was a better interest rate though.

Overall I find it difficult to get them to answer the phone, but they were nice and knowledagble when they finally did.  Withdrawals are also slow with the whole waiting a business day after its processed thing.  They do however have FSCS protection so your moneys safe and they had a competitive interest rate when I opened the account so its a trade off.  They did cut the rate pretty quick though.

I made a withdrawal from my savings account on the web at lunchtime yesterday (Friday), and am still waiting for it to arrive in my account (>24 hours later). Does anyone have recent experience of how long web withdrawals are taking at the moment?

"The cut-off time for Electronic Transfers is 3pm on a Working Day. Any Payment Instruction received after this time may be actioned the following Working Day. The payment will reach your Nominated Account no later than the end of the Working Day following the Working Day on which we receive your Payment Instruction."

Assuming your lunch was before 3pm it'll arrive Monday. If you had done the instruction after 3pm it would be Tuesday.
