charter savings bank

Does charter savings bank have cash flow issues, now that their savings rates are no longer top-dog?  I have been waiting 3 days for funds to be transferred from a closed savings account.  Customer service is overloaded.

Never had any issues. Transfer of funds from a closed account is usually next day. Why would you suggest they have cash flow issues?

I've got a withdrawal pending from charter that I put in before 3pm yesterday.  It now shows as "processed" in my charter account but nothing actually received.  They say before close of business so I am going to get it in the next 19 minutes I hope?

Also question for more knowledgeable types.  My linked bank to my charter savings is standard UK bank, 6 digit sort code 8 digit account number.  I entered the details correctly and have verified it and tested a withdrawal before, all works fine.  However when I go to withdraw on charter or look at the statement they have added three leading zeros to the account number of the linked bank?  Why is that?  It appears to have no effect but its a little weird.

Nothing received, slightly worried now albeit probably nothing of course.  I'll be more worried if I haven't got it by midnight, it does say "processed" on my charter account which clearly isn't entirely accurate.

Nothing to stop them just sending it faster payments when you request it like ulster bank loyalty saver.  Hate this crap we have to go through to get the best rate.

I opened several bond accounts with them with only minor transfer issues.  But this is my first withdrawal. They promised a same day transfer and its been 3 days now. They will be closed over easter, of course.

I tested a withdrawal with them couple of months ago, worked fine as advertised.

Funds just came through, so just a delay without major complaint!

Alas not for me, can I ask ir067 did they add three 0s onto the front of your linked accounts account no? when you are logged in on their system.

I found them slow to transfer money, so I've reduce the amount I have with them to very little.

I agree.  I'm annoyed I have quite a bit on deposit with them.  They cant even pay this one withdrawal as advertised and nobody answers the phone.

I have never had any problems with them not answering phone calls.
