Quick resurrection of this thread just to check if anything's changed.

Currently use Santander Edge CC at everup for supermarket gift cards for weekly shops.

Mention above of having to use Google Pay, now able to pay 'direct'.

Edge 2% cashback has ended so intend to swap to Lloyds Ultra CC (1% cashback/no fee).

Are such transactions still treated as 'purchases'?

    Ta.

This is my most recent Everup transaction. In the past it always was 'purchases'.

No issues with interest/charges buying Everup gift cards with Lloyds CC.
