Yes it would be the £6,776 if you live elsewhere amount that would be considered.
We live in are own home  paying mortgage.  Are you able to do a rough calculation of what we would possibly get as i said earlier are entitlment is around £902 a month. if you include the £6776 loan amount and the £402 a month? I take it the £675 a month where uni credit is not affected would be taken i to consideration when calculating this?

Some of these NHS related University courses are over 12 months for the academic year. They don't break for Summer for 2 months.

So if it is 12 months as an assumption

    £6776 divided by 12 = £564.67
Less £110 ignored per assessment period.
Amount left to deduct from UC per assessment period would = £454.67

If It were 10 months course duration for current academic year.

    £6776 divided by 10= £677.60
    Less £110
Amount to be deduced per assessment period would = £567.60

These are the approximate deduction amounts.

UC will ask for details of the course dates for the current academic year and will look at how many UC assessment periods are affected. And they will assess student maintenance finance available, so they can work out the deduction amount to apply.

You need to deduct the above approximate deduction amounts from the UC award amounts.

    Standard allowance couple £617.60
    Children (1 child) £287.92
    Carers Element £198.31
    Total before deductions £1103.83

The new rates will be as follows..
    Standard allowance couple £628.10
    Child £292.81
    Carers element £201.68
    Total £1,122.59

The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

I am sorry if i am missing something but what about this part does this not mean we can earn this amount?
The first £673.00 of your take-home pay does not affect your Universal Credit monthly amount. Every £1.00 you earn in take-home pay over this amount reduces your Universal Credit by 55 pence

The work allowance £673 relates to employment earnings only.

The student  related deduction will reduce the UC award £1 for each £1.

So if the UC award before deductions was £1103.83 and the student related deduction was £567.60 with no other deduction applying, then your net UC award payable would be £536.23.

Just to add, student finance is classed as unearned income, which is why they take it into account and why it doesn't come under the work allowance which is for earned income only.

Repeat link to answer from Government minister who confirmed student maintenance loan is available.

If you have evidence your wife is not eligible for a maintenance loan, then provide this to the Job Centre and then they can look into this. And then you can have some peace of mind in knowing you don't owe an overpayment debt and about future UC payments.
