Dont do anything just yet, but do study the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum

Study a few other recent Moorside Legal cases too

You wont be admitting anything, nor will you be filling out any paperwork, just online on MCOL to start with

Please edit your thread title to something more suitable like

    MOORSIDE LEGAL, NCP court claim

Thank you. I've updated the post title as per your suggestion and will take a proper read through it tomorrow when I'm a bit more awake 🙂

With an issue date of 10/04/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 15/04/26 and before or on 29/04/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 13/05/26

So AOS stage online on MCOL later this week if possible, dispute the whole claim as explained in post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum

Then study a similar case like the current one below

the court address is in Northampton which is 120mi-150mi north of both - if it did go to court is that where I'd be expected to attend?

Of course not. That's an admin centre.

Read the NEWBIES Thread (second post) which explains all this and gives you the template defence.

Then add the points to the usual Template Defence, that the PCN was non-POFA worded - therefore there is no keeper liability possible - and that a company in administration cannot litigate without express permission of the Administrators.

    Easy!

What's also perplexing to me is that the car park is based in Worthing, I live 40mi+ to the east of it, and yet the court address is in Northampton which is 120mi-150mi north of both - if it did go to court is that where I'd be expected to attend? And if yes is there anyway to ask for it to be moved closer to me?

Any court hearing will be held at the court nearest to your home address. The Northampton CNBC is simply an administrative centre which distributes the claim forms. They have no involvement in the court hearing. You won’t be travelling there!

As an aside, if I understand correctly, a company in administration can only file MCOL claims via the appointed administrator. The NCP administrator is PWC. Can any regular confirm my understanding of this?

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    I agree, from Googling it.

I would also add that the address for NCP is wrong; it's registered office address changed on 28th March 2026 to:-

PRICEWATERHOUSECOOPERS LLP, 8th Floor Central Square 29 Wellington Street, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 4DL.

(Given that the Solicitors are using a PO Box I would suggest that the claim form is now invalid.)

Good point. We have wording about that on another thread.
