  • How? In the app?

Upon digging further into the certificate letters on my app i noticed that my 1 year isa actually ends at the end of may?!!? So it took them 6 weeks to process my isa even though i started it on the 9th of april. How is that even legal? I signed up for 1 year. Not 13 months and 3 weeks

Given interest rates have fallen significantly since you signed up, it's surely in your interests to keep very quiet about this and be glad you're getting almost 14 months at the old, higher, rate?

It's not uncommon for a "1 year" cash ISA to last a somewhat longer or shorter period than 1 year. The maturity date was almost certainly specified in the T&Cs when you signed up.

Well, I've got the date off the online documents and went into the branch of my new isa provider this morning and filled in a transfer form.  So hopefully  by 22 May it will be transfered.

Some banks etc work on a year being from date of opening the account, others a year from first funding and yet others have a fixed maturity date which, depending on when you fun / open it could be more or less than a year
