Vitality - new "Play" rewards

Either I'm ridiculously lucky, or I'm doing something which makes my finding of Stanley's more likely
I note the terms have this:

Anyone get an email from Vitality a couple of days ago headed 'pick and play is evolving'.
Apparently you will be able to choose two weekly rewards in future - so you can get a free cafe nero drink and 25 per cent off itsu plus 50 per cent off a vue or odeon cinema ticket
There will be two guaranteed monthly awards - so you will be able to choose from two of their various cinema, entertainment, delivery and food partners. I assume this means (but it doesn't specify) you get say a free cinema ticket and a free itsu meal (as before the changes) - and therefore you potentially won't need to play the find a Stanley game to get these two guaranteed rewards. And you will have a month to pick those two guaranteed rewards - not just a week (just after month end) as now.
You will be able to play for more monthly rewards than the guaranteed two apparently - which presumably means via playing the find a stanley game (but it doesn't say that will be the route to a third+ reward specifically).
They are getting these changes ready over the summer - and will confirm an implementation date in due course.0 -
Indeed. Does seem that they're managing a bit of a revolt.

its also still letting me find Stanleys each Monday, and after not finding any extra ones for the first 5 weeks or so, I’ve found 2 extra ones for the last 2 weeks. Maybe they’ve re-tweaked the odds after the negative feedback on here and on Trustpilot…0 -
I have just cancelled my vitality Health and life insurance yesterday, they really messed up the reward system, I am glad I am not the only one noticing this.
I really liked the concept of if you keep healthy you get perks and means they will have less chances of getting claims too - it’s a win win situation for both sides, but the reward system update is just appalling. You don’t get rewards for being healthy anymore it’s based on luck so if you can’t find the dog you get 0 rewards, so what’s the point?
My renewal came up next month and they are increasing it almost £10 I’ve decided to cancel both insurances and I’m gonna find something cheaper.

So far I've "found" 8 Stanleys every month except July (a 5 Monday month) when I "found" 10. Essentially 2 a week, although there have been some weeks I've only had 1 and others where I've had 3.Either my luck is massively better than others on this thread, or it isn't random how many Stanley's you have to find. Indeed the T&Cs make clear they can alter the number of Stanleys on the board, so I would suggest that is what's happening. Why they aren't being transparent about this I do not know - surely it'd be a better message to say '12 points gets 1 guaranteed + 1 to find, 24 points gets 1 guaranteed + 3 to find and 36+ points gets 1 guaranteed + 7 to find'? [These are made up numbers but I think might represent what's happening.]Even so, I think the "gamification" element of this is crass and the sooner it is undone the better.0 -

I hit 40 points every week - pretty much without fail - and the first few weeks of the launch I never found an additional Stanley. From memory it was a good 4 or 5 weeks before I found more than one.
However they've done it, they've ruined what was a mutually beneficial system, and hopefully lost a lot of customers in the process.1 -
That's interesting... what could it be in that case then? Number of app visits per week? Amount of "investment" in ecosystem (does having the Amex, linking to Waitrose etc help?).It's the lack of transparency that really irks IMHO.1

Now Rakuten movie rental became a monthly perk if you can find at least 4 dogs (obviously), that was a massive downgrade for me.
