For which sim? And were you able to receive calls and texts? Did the phone tell you no sim/ no service/ invalid sim?
    EE service, 2-year 2GB/250 mins/250 sms

Signal indicator present, with warning symbol
And since you spoke to nowmobile has the warning symbol disappeared? I wouldn't have thought the warning symbol would relate to being out of allowance or no credit

My "free" sim stopped working, my fault as I hadn't used it for a while, took a minute to reactivate it via chat. Impressed :)

I have a pay and forget 12 months package with RWG expiring March 2026. Is it a good idea to port over my main number to RWG? Will they survive for at least 12 months?

I've had a couple of RWG PAYG SIMs, sitting in spare phones for very occasional/emergency use, for over five years.

Been absolutely fine, including getting them reactivated when they haven't been used for 6 months.

Would I trust my main number to them? Personally no.

Can I still ask for PAC in the event they go bust? I value my number too much

What has happened in the past when a mobile operator has gone titsup is that their operation has been transferred to another operator and their customers can re-contract on new terms or PAC their numbers elsewhere.

Think the regulator insists on this happening as bare minimum.

The PAC process is never risk-free when dealing with any operator, natch.

Thanks! I am in a dilemma but likely to port over because already paid for the package!
