It definitely wasn't DCBL in any of the above   ( debt collectors   )  it's DCB LEGAL LTD who were acting on behalf of the claimant parking company,  I Park

Thank you I will have a look at this now, would I need to send my witness statement to the same inbox I sent my defense?

    Definitely not   !

You deal with your local civil court  ( you nominated them 2 months ago in your N180  )  and the lawyers acting for the claimant

And if you want to be part of the push to change things in future, it's very important that people like you tell the Government that:

    a) you have no faith in POPLA or the IAS and that there must be the SINGLE APPEALS SERVICE that the Parking (Code of Practice) Act 2019 *almost* promised. As long as it is independent and impartial (and only ONE appeals service, not two involved in a race to the bottom) that will give a real option to resolve disputed cases out of court.

b).  THAT THE ENRICHMENT OF 'DEBT RECOVERY FEES' MUST BE COMPLETELY BANNED. DISPUTED CASES ARE NOT SOLVED BY DEMANDING MORE MONEY AND OFFERING A 'PAYMENT PLAN'!

c). Tell them about your experience and the complete and utter waste of court resources caused on a grand scale by DCB Legal,

Responses are invited to the Consultation now:

Do it this month pleeease! We will discuss it on that thread next week if you want ideas.

Leave it. Everyone gets that. It is the precursor to them discontinuing, so ignore it & show us the NoD in the end please, so we can count it.

And just a reminder: do the government's Public Consultation if you haven't done it yet. Their proposals are wrong. We must stop them.

    See this thread: -

We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline! Just 2 weeks left but please don't rush it. You can do some then save it and come back to it as you have time.

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that.

I'm taking a closer look this week and we'll walk people through the questions, and tell you what I'm going to put and/or what sort of evidence you might wish to use for your response, if you agree with what we'll be saying from our experience.

I've covered up to question 20 already on that thread.

Whilst your answers must of course be your own, there are vital points to safeguard motorists interests to make, that many people may not think of without our guidance because we see cases every day and we know the legal background. There won't be a template - the survey is for you to reply in your words - but we'll help everyone with what to focus on.

Hi all, I have now received a court hearing date for near the September, it says the claimant has till the 4th September to pay the court fee. Do I wait for DCBL Legal to send their witness statement first and then file mine?

The hearing is the 25th September and it says the fee needs to be paid by 4pm on 4th September so I’m assuming that’s the same deadline for the WS as no other days are on the letter

Normally it's 14 days before the Hearing, which will be 11th September, for WS's, (unless the letter say otherwise).
