Just see it through. Do not pay it.  See if Gs will consent. They have a duty to the court.

But an example (from a solicitor) showing exactly how to email solicitors to ask for consent before trying a N244 application is already in the CCJ section of the NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST thread.

Thanks- I have now re-read, I think you mean the post by troublemaker?
My son has already sent in N244, is it too late to try and negotiate with Gladstones?

You still have to have a hearing with or without consent so given this application has gone in then yes you wouldnt really speed anything up

    Yes - of course.

"My son has already sent in N244,"

    I know.

is it too late to try and negotiate with Gladstones?
    No.

I wouldn't have suggested it if it was too late.

I was merely showing you the style and headings & phrases to use, to make is easy for him. Obviously he has to tweak it to make sense for a case where he has already banged in a N244 instead of following our steps in the right order.

He can alter that example email easily.

Thankyou so much to everyone for giving their time and expertise to help others.

This legal world and terminology is a whole new (unwanted) steep learning curve. I have read so much on here that I’ve gone cross-eyed!
I’m also new to using a forum so have found that challenging too, however I absolutely appreciate that if people keep asking the same questions it must be really frustrating.
I’ve worked in the NHS for 37 years as a nurse ( ITU/ Burns/ A&E) and would never expect a lay person to understand all the medical terminology, so thank goodness there are people to help navigate all this!

We will do a SAR to PPL and email Gladstones for a consented set aside I think as a belt and braces approach.

Please be aware the consented set aside will be on the same time scale as the one you have already applied for

So is there any advantage to getting a consented set aside then if it is no quicker?
