Octopus daily usage figures not the same as daily meter reading history
Since 1st April, my daily usage (kWh) in both the App or website do not tally with the figures in the daily meter readings history (in App, click on Usage and scroll down to view meter reading history). Up until 1st April, these were always the same, but since 1st April the daily meter reading values are slightly higher than the values reported in the daily (or weekly) usage view.
Is anyone else experiencing this discrepancy?
Edited to add we are on Agile with half hourly smart meter readings. Having checked the data more closely, it may have started from Sunday 30th March, so may be related to the clocks moving forward, as every day is a fraction of a kWh out / different.

It could be that the smart meter clock (and the daily meter readings) are permanent GMT, while the app has switched to BST?Are the discrepancoes increasing over time, or are they moving back and forth in a small range of roughly one 30-minute-period's-worth of electricity?I can't help by looking at my data; I'm on IOG not Agile and the most recent electricity meter reading showing on the app is from 2023 ...N. That maybe it. I think the meter is on GMT and the app is on BST. Since the switch to BST, the reported daily usage data in the app reports the data for the 1h period midnight to 1am a day before the rest of the data appears, as of course this is 11pm-midnight GMT as reported by the smart meter. The difference is always around 0.1-0.2kWh between the two daily usage figures, with the GMT meter reading data always higher than the app daily usage. I'm not sure why the GMT meter reading daily figures (if that's what they are) would always be higher than the BST daily figures. Surely they should be random and average out over a number of days.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Benefits & tax credits, Heat pumps and Green & Ethical MoneySaving forums. @NedS Meters normally remain on GMT. I believe I read somewhere that there is a very small limited number of tariffs where it is changed to BST, but this is not the norm for most tariffs.
If you compare usage for the hour before on the App, it should match the meter. There should be nothing "random" to "average out"1 -
A meter will always record in UTC. It's up to the supplier to adjust appropriately.
