  • I received a without prejudice email offering to settle yesterday.  Does this mean I'm on the home stretch?

Still waiting on hearing more, is there a typical timeframe between the without prejudice email and them dropping it?  It's been over two weeks now.

I will take part and upload the letter when it comes.

Check your spam folder as well as your inbox

The discontinuation email tends to happen just before the hearing fee is due,  nothing to do with any offers
  • Thanks, is that usually after the mediation appointment?  I've been allocated a date towards the end of this month.

The mediation appointment is also scheduled a few dayz after the six year point.  Does that mean they won't be able to proceed anyway?

    After mediation.

The 6 years is to start a claim, so irrelevant now.

    Three minute call.

No discussion. I would tell the Mediator that this case will be discontinued before any hearing anyway ... because they always are. Mediators are being duped if they and their colleagues believe private parking claimants' representatives' rubbish. Tell the Court Mediation team to wake up and realise the monster they are supporting, by spouting the rubbish from DCB Legal at Defendants as if it is a proper claim.

Tell the Mediator that this case is a complete waste of everyone's time and you hope the Mediators are passing this honest information onto their senior team.

    Polite "goodbye". Phone down!

Parking firms and their dubious law firms are a national disgrace and a drain on Society, in terms of money and anxiety.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have my mediation appointment tomorrow, I was just having a look on here for any tips of how to handle it.

So I can just say something like that rather than going into detail about my defence etc?

You can merely say "My offer to the other side is zero and I look forward to court. Goodbye." and hang up if you wish.
  • All done, I let the Mediator waffle on for a while though.
