Repeated Aer Lingus "we appreciate your patience" emails

I am eligible to claim the maximum compensation fo a delayed flight with Ar Lingus. The airline have sent a standard response with reference number, but have since continued to send "please be assured that our team are actively  rviewing it and will be in touch with an update as soon as possible".

Is it the norm to expect a long wait?

    A wait of perhaps two months is fairly normal.

    Well I cancelled a business class flight which is eligible for a partial cash refund on the 26th February and have been getting generic AI emails once a week ever since but no sign of real contact or refund.
