20122013 said:Is there only one unit price for the GB00BMJJJF91 per day?As on my valuation, Aegon has listed the unit price for 1 April 2025 as Price Aand then on my Switch Statement for 1 April 2025 the same fund but unit Price is different ?I do not understand this? I will speak with Aegon and I would like to get this straight in my head, please
If you scroll down to price history download and download the excel file it shows prices are as follows
The valuation at 1st April 2025 is presumably before updating of the price from 31st March to 1st April (which they rounded from 3.0568 to 3.057).But the transaction itself took place on 1st April so shows the 1st April price (3.0855 rounded to 3.085)So ignoring the different rounding, one is rounded up one rounded down to 3 DP, it makes sense
I came, I saw, I melted1 -
Yes, OEICs are only valued daily, and, with a lead time until the next dealing slot, the exact price isn't known at the time of committing to a transaction. The actual value applying is that shown on the contract note.20122013 said:Is there only one unit price for the GB00BMJJJF91 per day?

In terms of calculations that would make sense.I have just spoken with Aegon (no good)I was asking them whether the fund I hold (OEIC) calculates the fund price once day only ie the unit price does not fluctuate during the day, does anyone know?0

Seems a stupidly miniscule difference in price to get so annoyed about, what was the actual difference in portfolio value?0

Aegon had explained that the fund has 10 price points a day which I do not get to see hence the difference in the unit price (??) is that true? ..Contradicts with what I was told yesterday, .I am not told my fund switch had not completed and it will take till a few more days and that the fund unit price showing on the Switch statement may not be the price I will get (most of the information were not correct regarding what i want to do with my funds) Hence my OP, thanks for the helpful information.eskbanker said:

It's a matter of indisputable fact that this OEIC (as with others) is valued once a day.20122013 said:

Likewise, the schedule of dealing deadlines and so on means that it isn't possible to deal in real time and 'lock in' an OEIC purchase at a given price, and the price for any transaction will be whatever it is on the date the transaction completes, rather than when it's initiated, so that's presumably what Aegon are trying to tell you.
Wait until you have the contract note for the transaction and that's the only price that counts....2 -
From looking at the chart on HL's website it looks like £3.057 was the price on 31/03. There's probably just a timing error between when you took the screenshot and when it was updated to the actual 01/04 price.20122013 said:Here are the two files: image of my valuation and image of my Switch statement showing different unit price on 1 April 2025
