I would like to get others' opinion, if I may, before calling Aegon or HSBC etc please.
Switched into HSBC FTSE All World
01 Apr 2025 Trade Date
£3.085000 Unit price
HL website (I had noted down the Unit price for these dates):
It is £0.03p / unit difference between the two dates I have noted from .
I was checking to see that my S&S ISA portfolio is in order, after switching funds on the Aegon platform.
My question is : I would like to know why Aegon's switch statement's
unit price does not match the ones I have noted from HL site? I am aware will not know what date the trade will take place, I have misunderstood?
These are the information from
My Aegon account:
27 Mar 2025 Application date (switch out all funds into one fund)Switched into HSBC FTSE All World
01 Apr 2025 Trade Date
£3.085000 Unit price
01/04/25 00.26am Sell 305.68p Buy 305.68p
02/04/25 00.53am Sell 308.04p Buy:308.04pIt is £0.03p / unit difference between the two dates I have noted from .
Also, I have checked on the FT site
Wednesday, April 02, 2025 Open 3.08 Closed 3.08
Tuesday, April 01, 2025 3.09 Open 3.09 Closed 3.09
Tuesday, April 01, 2025 3.09 Open 3.09 Closed 3.09
I was hoping to find the fund unit price for the Trade Date of 1 April 2025

HSBC's own figures show £3.0855 on the 1st:
https://www.assetmanagement.hsbc.co.uk/en/intermediary/funds/gb00bmjjjf91?t=2
and HL's page says £3.0804 for the 2nd, down 0.51p from yesterday, therefore £3.0855 then too:

eskbanker appreciate your reply.I am waiting for my switch to complete so I can transfer out of Aegon. I have received a 'switched statement' and Ageon had informed me that I can initiate the transfer out, I had queried why there a difference in my valuation (as it was lower) and then I was told that there are still some pending trades being processed (reinvestment , redistribution?) and the valuation should go back up? I have checked just now and the 'Pending switch' is no longer showing but my valuation has not increased / changed. Is there a way to tell why this is I have spoke with Aegon and they have asked me to speak to a IFA?Also, how to tell the switch has been completed ?0

What's being valued and when? There have been some pretty substantial equity price movements over the past few weeks so little will remain static whether or not you're switching between funds....20122013 said:I had queried why there a difference in my valuation (as it was lower)
Surely if Aegon have issued a statement and confirmed that you can proceed with a transfer, this signifies that the fund switches have been done, but do you have online access to see what your current holdings are?20122013 said:I am waiting for my switch to complete so I can transfer out of Aegon. I do and the funds are correct. However, yesterday Aegon gave the reason why there is a difference in my portfolio valuation is because there is pending trades (reinvestment and redistribution etc) but this is not longer in my account but the valuation has not changed. I am still unclear with Aegon's information. The new platform had hinted to wait till completion but transfer, I do not understand why my portfolio valuation is lowered than it should be.eskbanker said:

I am trying to work out whether the difference in valuation is due to the market (which I accept) or with the pending trades? If it is due to the pending trades. should it not be included in my total valuations (?), hence i queried with Aegon and they have said that once it had been processed it will be added to my valuation? it has been processed but not added to my valuation? and not showing on the statement or list of transactions. If it is fund manager's charges (selling) the fees are not showing (not expected it to) as this is not making much sense to me.eskbanker said:
But what specifically is leading you to believe that it's lower than it should be, in the context of falling markets (where lower valuations ought to be expected)?20122013 said:

It really isn't practical for anyone on here to comment meaningfully with so little to go on, but you'll have the relevant information in front of you and the contact details for Aegon to discuss the detail with them, so all I can suggest is that you revert to them.20122013 said:

Is there only one unit price for the GB00BMJJJF91 per day?As on my valuation, Aegon has listed the unit price for 1 April 2025 as Price Aand then on my Switch Statement for 1 April 2025 the same fund but unit Price is different ?I do not understand this? I will speak with Aegon and I would like to get this straight in my head, please

And it may be that someone on here can help you understand, but only if you explain clearly what the 'something' is! If you share some screenshots or figures that clarify what your perceived shortfall looks like, then maybe that'll help?20122013 said:eskbanker I have just found something and wanted to understand a bit more before speaking to Aegon?1 -
Here are the two files: image of my valuation and image of my Switch statement showing different unit price on 1 April 2025
