And so, it begins....STS.
Did look at old weight loss pattens and it's a regular occurrence for me, I'm also bloated again, confirmed by Mr Pepper due to the size of my chest! Age and time of life also contributes apparently. I have been exercising to help, but need to remember it takes time, and a couple of weeks is not long enough.
Well done to everyone who's sticking with it, good or bad, don't know about anyone else but when I take my eye off the ball and don't get weighed on a regular basis my weight goes back up, then get pickled off and eat! I can see why people do have injections to help them, I don't think it helps with bad eating pattens but understand why people do it, good or bad. Slowly, slowly catchy monkey for me.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538

I had a blood pressure check with the nurse at my heath centre today. I also had to stand on the scales for a weight check. Even though I was fully clothed, she did notice and comment on a loss of 3 or 4 kilos since my last weight was recorded about a year ago.6

I've been on holiday since last week and not able to get on scales but, from what was happening up until I left for the holiday, I'd like to record a STS please.
Next Tuesday I'll be able to report in for the regular weekly situation and then go on holiday again!

1lb loss please @Brambling. I haven't been as busy/active the last couple of weeks and it has made a difference to the losses. I've managed my runs and walks, but not done much other exercise. No gardening! Think that burns a lot of energy!
Foodwise - yogurt and fruit for breakfast, cheese and avocado salads/soup for lunches, something and veg for evenings. Couple of weeks left til our holiday, so final push!!7 -
Good morning,
I'm back from 5 nights in New York. I'm absolutely shattered and very sore but I did remember to get weighed. It's + 0.5 lbs for me please Brambling. I'm more than happy with that. We did walk a lot but not as much as more physically able people I suppose. We also used the subway and took cabs a couple of times and saw almost everything that we wanted to.
@jennystarpepper from what I've read the injections also turn off the "food noise" in your head. I don't have that so much but my sister constantly talks about food and what she is planning to eat mostly in the intervals between things that she is eating. Please don't give up. Whatever I didn't eat was worth it when I looked at my holiday photos.
I can't have the injections because I had a gall stone stuck in my bile duct during covid and only managed to have it removed after several months of horrific pain and becoming a less than subtle shade of yellow. Normal liver GGT readings are 5 - 40. Mine was 1446. I've also mostly given up alcohol.
Take care all of you 😊7 -
@CRANKY40 - I've got a gallstone, so problems similar to yours. Never knew weight loss can be a cause, also IBS, being over 40 and other family members with them, so all those boxes ticked. It definitely has a Yoyo effect on your health. I'm going to look into having mine removed, a relative told me it's worse than childbirth passing them, (coming from a time when no drugs or gas are available), and another being found passed out due to pain... not something I want to go through, good news is I'm not yellow anymore.
I'm determined to stay with it, diet and exercise management, are going to the key, just glad I stopped smoking and drinking ages ago.
Glad you enjoyed your holiday; NY is definitely a walking holiday.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538
