I've just applied for a 5.6% via the MSE link and the landing page showed 5.6%.
My rate when I now log on to the account I created only shows as 4.5%
Maybe this is because I have not deposited any money but I won't do this until the 6th of April.
Has anyone else seen the promo rate before depositing funds?
I don't want to transfer 20k and then be stuck on 4.5%.

  • BEWARE !!!
I opened the cash Isa account back in December 2024 when MSE was offering a 12month fixed bonus . I opened it via the MSE 'link' and followed all the instructions yet they insist that NO PROMO code is not on my account and wasn't available when I applied for the account. This is weird as I actually found and only heard of Trading 212 on  MSE website. I have just discovered I have only been getting their underlying interest rate which goes from 4.5% to 4.35 on 1st May
I'm really annoyed so will be closing the account when my next interest is paid on 3rd May !!

I've had exactly the same problem. Trading insisting that no promo was being offered when I opened it and therefore I have to accept the base rate reductions now sitting at 4.35 even though I want via the MSE link. Martin, I hope you get to read these discussions. You don't expect this kind of underhand treatment from investment companies/banks. I shall be moving my money this month too.
