I expect that too.  When I logged on to T212 at lunchtime, it showed the promo rate "Expires in 18 hours" so there is hope that I'll still be able to request the transfer before the clock runs out :#

It's funny that initially I planned to open T212 ISA on the 1st April, but decided on the earlier date when found out the expiry date.  I fear that when my transfer is completed my interest will remain at 4.5%.  Good job I didn't go for a full transfer, just a tenner to test the waters.

As long as you signed up when the promo was on and requested the transfer within the 10 days you should still be eligible. You may even get their latest rate as you're still waiting. I signed up when it was 5.25% but they gave me the 5.38%. It does look like you always have to contact them to get them to apply it though...they don't seem to be doing it automatically.

Anyways hopefully it works out for you.

Did you ring them to get the better rate? I was in an online chat with them earlier today and I asked if I could have it at 5.6% (rather than the  5.38% it was when I signed up on Sunday) and they that it wasn’t possible. Even if I closed my account and then applied again. Not possible they said.

Mine was all done via an online chat. I didn't mention the specific interest rate, only that the promo rate was missing. I am assuming they just applied whatever it was at the time. Did you already make a deposit or transfer an ISA to them? Might only be something they do for ISA transfers that complete outside of the 10 day window, where they then retrospectively activate a promo rate.

It sounds a bit random.  I still have "You are almost there" message appearing on my app and 5.38% shows below "Add funds".  According to the message I got when I initiated the transfer I'm in a queue and it will take a few weeks. Only 4 days left until the next £20k allowance kicks in, so I'm going to pay in (I believe £1 is ok, I couldn't see any minimum deposit conditions in the description) and see if the promotional rate will show.  If not I'll probably put the rest in Tembo and keep an eye on cash ISA market.  I also have a substantial amount in Moneybox ISA currently paying 4.75%, I will keep it there for now.
  • My husband & I both have Trading 212 Cash ISAs. At the end of February our Virgin Money fixed rate cash ISAs matured - we both asked Trading 212 to transfer our Virgin ISAs across to them on 27th Feb. We were told there was a wait - it wasn't until about 12 March that the Trading 212 account showed that they had contacted Virgin. By 27 March there was no progress at all - we had an online chat with Trading 212 who claimed they had contacted Virgin & the delay was with Virgin. We phoned Virgin & they said they had not received any transfer instructions for either account. Another online chat with Trading 212 & they said Virgin's response was "false" but they would send another transfer request. Yesterday we phoned Virgin again - they had finally received a transfer request for my account but not my husband's. My transfer went through today. Trading 212 have cancelled my husband's transfer request as they say Virgin took over a month to respond. So my transfer took well over a month & my husband is back to square one. I would take a lower rate of interest rather than deal with Trading 212 again - you can't speak to a person on the phone & the online chat is not good - when they thought they'd answered my question they ignored further questions.

I had a fixed rate ISAwith Kent Reliance that matured mid March and gave me 14 days to transfer. I started opening my Trading 212 ISA account the same day it matured and asked for the funds to be transferred which they said would take 7 days and I was 70th in the queue. 7 days later it still said it would be 7 days and I was 42nd in the queue. 2 days before the deadline to transfer from Kent Reliance they told me they had started the process. The day after the deadline I received a call from Kent Reliance saying as the deadline had passed I would have to pay them over £400+ to transfer as I had missed the deadline. Not happy with either of them to be honest.

Frustrating times with 212...I've twice tried to transfer a ford money isa to them to no avail. Agree with your stance of rather taking a lower interest rate ...I'm going to open a shawbrook fixed rate 25/26 hopefully a good rate as my oak north isa don't accept transfers from 212 as they don't do electronic transfer
