So...today.
Been okay 'spose.
NSD, due to cleaning 95% of the house and then having a play date at 3pm.
Made HM macaroni cheese and quorn burgers for tea so feel nicely full but there is a spot for some chocolate
Had a letter from the builder stating that they will be coming along to check that there was an inhibitor fitted, so i imagine that there is going to be some issues along the way about this blimming power flush
Also on the way to bed last night, i checked the boiler (as i do several times an hour) and the flipping error lights were on indicating a dry fire. I honestly dont know what we've done to have such a crap boiler. Must have been a murderer in a previous life!
Anyway, back to work for me tomorrow so late nights for the next 7 days (and far less time spent on here!
) Back and ready to save some money!

Am off work atm - have some kind of fluey virus and feel really, really rubbish. Cant go to bed though, as still have the boy to look after, and being 3 i cant just leave him to his own devices!
Decided to sit on the sofa and attempt to look at Februarys finances and am pleasantly surprised :j
After paying off all the usual bills, and allowing £20 for treats (to go out for a meal with colleagues and buy heat magazine each week ....any extra will go in the sealed pot) we will be paying off £611 this month!
Total debt repayments from LBM in Dec 07 will be £1231!!! :T
Husband is re-taking driving test, and having a few extra lessons so thats an extra expense this month, and i've also budgeted for a chinese on valentines day! :happyhear:smileyhea
Still waiting for plumber from builders to come and sort out the sludge in the radiator, but am trying not to stress about that too much. Have a horrible feeling that they are going to try and weasle out of it, but its their negligence that has caused the problem!
Having read a number of threads on here recently about other peoples problems (which make mine pale in comparison:o) it has reaffirmed my desire to become debt-free. Something i have to bear in mind is that we really are only ever a few packets away from bankruptcy. Thats a really scary and sobering thought.Back and ready to save some money!

The plumber sub-contracted by the builders came out today. He did the additive flush for me, tbh there was hardly any sludge in the system which was GREAT news!

He also checked all the radiators for me, and found some that hadn't had the valves fitted correctly so he corrected them.
The boy decided that he wanted to do some glueing and sticking after breakfast so we made the plumber a thank you card! He has been to our house so many times, and always gives great service.:p
I've got his mobile number so if i ever have any problems, i know who to call!
On the debt front, i'm hoping to pay off nearly £650 this month, but for some reason i'm not feeling too positive about it. I am going to make another conscious effort to go through my finances and work out my DFD. I have guesstimated it will be some time at the beginning of next year, providing we have no horrendous expenses, but theres always something isn't there?!
My husband has his driving test again on the 10th of March and i feel anxious about it. My heart will break for him if he fails again, but i know its out of my control and i can't help. It drives me crazy that his parents don't want to help him by taking him out for extra practice. In December we paid for him to go on their insurance (£31.50) and they took him out once. Once. For less than an hour. What a waste of money.
It's so dark here today, its depressing and hard to work up the motivation to go for a walk or do anything at all!
Sorry this is so moany, i guess we all have good days and bad and i just feel a bit low today. Obviously need some endorphins....bring on the chocolate! :EasterBunBack and ready to save some money!

Got to have a moan once in while!
Fingers crossed for your Hubby. Its only last year that my OH passed and only 2 1/2 since I passed so I know its not fun and expensive. It will make all the difference though when he passes. We never had extra lessons from family and both passed second time.
PS dont mention the c word need to avoid for a while!:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my rant!
I just had to vent on here today as not fair unloading on a 3 yr old and husband was in meetings/training all day.
The thought of driving scares the **** out of me, so he was happy to learn but we've spent over £750 on lessons/tests (1 theory and 2 practicals so far) and i know its selfish but we could pay off my overdraft or our credit card with hat! We cant afford to buy a car until everything paid off so there wont be any immediate reward, it would just be good for his morale i think!
Anyway, thanks again for reading! Hope you have a lovely evening....im off to try the apple braid i think (hopefully my BM wont explode! :rotfl:Back and ready to save some money!

Your wlecome.
I put off learning to drive for years eventually passed at 27 with 3 kids and unreliable public transport I had to do something. Hated lessons and really wanted to stop but OH at the time was sure he wouldnt be able to drive because of his shoulder so I couldnt rely on him. Which to be honest annoyed me at the time. Why did everyone elses OH drive!! He then decided to give it a go and loves it.
When you get the chance please try I cant believe how much has changed since I learnt to drive. Did around 10k business miles last year.
Apple braid sounds lovely, let me know how you get on.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0
