Chrisca50 said:@AlwaysAllie re books. I love crime books too. Over the last few years I've been reading Stephen Booth's Cooper and Fry series. I then found Stuart McBride's Logan McRae series. I've read one of Robert Rinder books too which I enjoyed. All crime solving/detective novels. Have a look and see what you think.8

Popping back to send my condolences to Rosy on the loss of your beloved girl. They really do leave pswprints on our hearts. I hope in time you can remember her funny antics and laugh.

So sorry about the loss of your beloved companion @Rosy. My very-long gone pet cat remains in my mind still.@AA - I read a lot of what's called 'Tartan Noir'. The very recently deceased Denzil Meyrick was always a favourite as he lived in Campbeltown (Wee Toon) and based a lot of his crime novels in his fictionalised version of it. His final two books were a huge remove from the usual though very worth reading too.JM Dalgliesh has a series set in the highlands and another in Norfolk. Neil Lancaster sets his around the central belt and is always a good read. The DCI Logan series from JD Kirk also feature heavily in my reading / listening material. I could go on but won't!Back from my trip north, had a wee chatty interlude with my friends halfway down the road back home. I almost got here when my tyre pressure warning came on so I travelled further on down to the town to get the tyres checked, Rear nearside was down so that was fixed. Now got my second cup of coffee, front door wide open and the sunshine streaming in. I could get used to this!

PS -for @AA - Stuart McBride is also very readable, some of his mainstream ones are rather violent. Confusingly his detective is called Logan McCrae. These are also very funny.Gone!7
