Morning all. There's a beautiful moon beaming out of a pinky sky. And it's chilly.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
Lovely bright morning again but still very cold.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes, I had a really good day. The Magic show was actually an entertainer doing silly things but the children loved it - lots of shouting, dancing and good fun. I got a dog balloon from him for my birthday!
I did have cake with DD and the little one after school which was much enjoyed.
Hope everyone is doing ok - still missing you Nanny.
Take care. XX14 -
Good morning, 2 Tuesdays this week!
Thanks for starting Gers.
Happy belated birthday Camelot.
It's fine and frosty here,, yesterday turned out nice.
Visiting an old friend this morning to return some trousers I altered for her, then a bit of house work once I'm home.
Thoughts to those that need them, take care folks.14 -

@Scarlet - did you see the Mary Berry programme last night? It was from Whitby.Your birthday throw-back treat sounds fun @Camelot. 😀 Being given a dog balloon is so funny.Yesterday I was so blooming productive I surprised myself. I tackled the second last chore in the kitchen / utility room which was always going to be the biggest one. Two trips to the tip later it was almost done. Saucepans moved to the newly decluttered drawer and all the tins and jars from the utility room window ledge sorted and moved. Some were well OOD so had to be disposed off ☹️ this always brings on feelings of huge guilt as my late DM hated waste of any sort. Even at my advanced age I still feel the disapproval of Mum! Anyway, job done.I also cleared the pile of papers and sorted storage containers out. Some are plastic, most haven't got lids and all were annoying me. I'd like to replace them with glass but also need to work out how many I realistically use. Work in progress. The sun shone like a mad thing yesterday, it was glorious, so I'm hoping for the same today, it makes such a difference to my mood and spirit. I'm off up the road to collect meds later, it'll be a lovely drive.I hope that all are well or on the mend. Hugs to all.15

Morning
A cold, frosty but sunny start here. You're right Izzy and Gers, the sun really does lift your mood.
No plans for today, will just wait and see what the day brings. Sausages and mash for tea tonight with of course onion gravy.
Have a good day whatever your doing. Enjoy the sun. Hugs as always to all who need them. Take care.14 -
Morning everyone
Chilly start but we’re supposed to reach some mid/late teens weather today and tomorrow.Bdog is having his hair cut at lunchtime so that’ll be two trips - it’s only in the next village and less than 10 minutes away. I might (!) give the lawn its first cut later - it could really do with scarifying, there’s more moss than grass!
No other plans but, as always, plenty to do.Can anyone suggest/recommend a website/app or similar with book recommendations - I’m struggling with reading this year and need inspiration. I tend to fix on an author but then find their books are samey so get fed up after a few. I like crime (not too gory) and psychological type books.Have a good day

Morning folks and thanks GERS. And can I go on the list after CHRISCA please?! You are putting me to shame, I get more and more lax. Minus 3 at 6.00 this morning but the sun is now shining and the sky is blue. The frost should soon be disappearing.
I met my DF as planned yesterday for lunch. Once again we got a table in the small room by the fire. It was so much quieter again so we could enjoy a good long chat. I think it does her good to offload all the stress she has with her DH. It would have been a lovely day out in the sunshine if it hadn't been for that nithering wind blowing.
It's bus trip day today and a lovely day is promised and the wind now looks to have dropped thankfully. No doubt it will be Skipton again but we have promised ourselves once it gets a bit warmer we will go somewhere else. Not too far though as she doesn't like to leave her DH, in early stages of dementia, for too long.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all and enjoy the sunshine if you have it. x
