Morning all, thanks Gers. Another glorious morning.I haven't posted really since last week, or caught up much. We've been dealing with the loss of our pooch Ly1a. Miss her like mad, she was such a big physical presence. We've been keeping ourselves busy, and I've been out in the garden at the front clearing the front border. DH brought home some well rotted manure from the farm where his storage place it so I put that in until the spade shaft snapped,- he'd just put a new handle on! So now it needs a new shaft, reminds me of the 2 Ronnies sketch
Also put some new gravel on the back garden path but it was a bit short, need another bag.
Take care all and get out in the sun if you can.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)14 -

Morning everyone
Sorry to hear of your loss Rosy x
The sun is shining and the sky is lovely and blue - yesterday it got quite warm in the afternoon, it was lovely.
Little one rang after work for a very long chat, mainly telling me how difficult multiplication is and that she doesn't really want to learn maths, she'd rather just write stories! I said sorry you'll be doing maths for a long time yet...other than that shed had a lovely morning.
I'm off work today so she's coming up this afternoon. I plan to go down to mam and dads this morning and then for a little bit shopping, but I'm also getting an extra stair rail fitted, so it depends what time they come.
Going to get a few jobs done while I wait - might even clean the kitchen window I was going to do on Saturday.
Hope everyone has a good day x12 -

@AlwaysAllie re books. I love crime books too. Over the last few years I've been reading Stephen Booth's Cooper and Fry series. I then found Stuart McBride's Logan McRae series. I've read one of Robert Rinder books too which I enjoyed. All crime solving/detective novels. Have a look and see what you think.12

Morning all
Rosy I am so sorry to hear about Lyla it’s so heartbreaking when we lose then, sending many hugs xxx
Looks to be a nice day although it’s still chilly, I have an unexpected day off today Rob arrived yesterday full of cold he clearly felt rotten we went out for a walk but he kept signing he was cold and was shivering he also ate hardly any lunch, so we went and had a warm cup of tea and then I dropped him off early, the house messaged me later to say he was still bad and they would keep him off today he could not have worked in the cafe like that, he sneezed right on me several times yesterday and coughed in my face so it won’t surprise me if I get it next, I’m hoping he will be a bit better tomorrow.
Im going to get the dogs out after this and then come back and clean / tidy the boot room which did not get done at the weekend, I will take the meter readings while I am in there too.
I bought some pizza bases in Lidl so will make a couple up for dinner tonight will do a salad to go with them.
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers. It was another frosty start this morning - not quite as bad as the night before - but the sun is out, it's dry and we could even get up to 12 deg!
Yesterday I had a walk out for some milk plus a couple of other bits and then set to on sewing up the shopping bags. All was going well until I rummaged for some herringbone tape for the handles and discovered I haven''t got any.So, do I make some from the fabric (fiddly and time consuming) or turn to Plan B and buy some tape? Plan B won but there isn't anywhere near me that sells it and I don't particularly want a trip into town for just the one thing so I'll have to order some. The sewing has gone on the back burner until it arrives. The liver/bacon/onion casserole was much enjoyed and there's enough left for two portions to go in the freezer.
Today's exciting To Do's - meter readings (it doesn't seem two minutes since I last did them), one wash-load of darks and then a choice of either dust/vac the guest bedroom or a walk in the sunshine. I think the latter may win!Easy tea tonight of egg & oven chips done in the air fryer.
Enjoy your day and the sunshine, take care, hugs where needed or wanted. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9
