You don't need any summary or waffle or even talk about it
You simply say its a zero offer and advise dcb legal will discontinue in any case
Honestly dont waste any more time then that . Tell the mediator your only doing this as its mandatory.
The case will then get allocated to your local court and you will get an email to confirm mediation was unsucessful
No need to update us as there's nothing to update ( I do mediation calls about 2 to 3 times per week at the moment) and my record is 1 minute 20 seconds between the call starting and me terminating it5

            Question:
Am I not bound to give them at least a token amount of my time? Advice I've seen on here is for 5 minutes, which I'm happy to sacrifice.0

Update: Mediator rang in around 20 mins back. I was just washing dishes anyway, so I gave the TLDR of NHS parking principles clearly breached, no debt is owed, and suggested for their sake they discontinue. The mediator said there was an offer from DCBL for £200 to settle, which I strongly declined. They went back across to talk to the other side, who said to proceed to court, so that's where we're headed.Disappointing that they won't back down at this stage, as I'm still getting grief (I feel undeservedly), from my partner for putting her through the emotional stress of the situation, and not just paying. I'm always at pains to explain that this is exploitation, we don't owe anything, and that will be clear in a courtroom. Doesn't do our relationship any good though. 0 0

There is no incentive to discontinue at this early stage, the make or break point is just before the hearing fee is due to be paid on behalf of the claimant, in several months time ! you should have expected this impasse stage after studying the over 680 discontinuations in the thread of shame by Umkomaas, because it wasn't going to be over at mediation
The N279 document is likely to come by email next year from DCB Legal, near the court fee deadline, that is MY expectation3

Nothing contrary to my expectations at this stage; Purely unfortunate on a human level that they're just prolonging this charade, hoping that their "victims" (my words) will crack before they do.
But then, that is their whole business model...
I'll be back with your next update when I get one. Thanks again all.3
