Understood, will do.
Please understand that things that may sound silly in matters of law aren't so clear cut in matters of the mind. Sometimes everyday menial tasks can be like personal Everest conquests, and so taking my SO out of the firing line as much as possible was, in that respect, a reasonable measure. That said, I dare say the law is blind to circumstance in this regard, and naturally I'm working in her best interests, so responding in the first person would be best. So long as there's no comeback for impersonation on their part?
Thank you again for the value feedback. The level of support that's being offered... I'd have got less bang for my buck from hiring a solicitor. People power at its finest.

You aren't impersonating them.
You are typing as/for them. Being their PA, if you like. I've done that hundreds of times for friends/relatives v parking firms and have never once used my name.
When she gets the claim form you will be typing her defence (she signs it of course) and emailing that too. But never ever in your name. You're just their PA.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Update: apparently SO has had a claim letter. Will confirm and attach a copy when I get back.
Apparently, nothing that was suggested swayed them to just drop it, which, while completely expected, is incredibly unfortunate (for want of a better word), as now, coupled with other issues, SO is completely terrified and not in a good state of mind at all.
At this point, I'm hoping we get sent a court date that's soon so we can be free of these scum. She's really not doing well because of this. We're getting near the end of this farce... right?0 -
Yep. This is the end game.
Have you shown her the very easy (already written) special defence for DCB Legal ParkingEye claims, that's linked in the FIRST post of the Template Defence thread?
A complete cinch.
Case will either end up struck out by the court or discontinued in the Autumn. No hearing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No court date will be soon, even if it gets that far, which it probably won't, although a future date will be set in a couple of months time, so autumn seems a reasonable target to think aboutOneMaccChap said:Update: apparently SO has had a claim letter.

Definitely not near the end, yet3 -
I'll run her through as much as she can handle. It's hard to convey how this is affecting her mentally. I try to make it clear why I'm confident we'll not get to court and lose, but as stated, she's terrified.2

Even if she ( you ) lost, the figure to pay would be less than the amount on the claim form, so still a win
A typical loss in court for a single pcn is about £212 , even if they claimed £70 to £100 more in dubious extra charges
I dont wish to sound harsh, but perhaps she should not have her name on documents like her V5c log book, because it comes with legal responsibilities etc, whereas you seem more resilient to those issues or topics
Mine are both in my name for similar reasons, although nowhere near the same as you have , my OH just doesn't want the red tape or legal responsibilities etc3 -
Is that another way of saying that a Court Claim Form has been received?OneMaccChap said:Update: apparently SO has had a claim letter.
If so, please tell us the Issue Date on it, and can you also show us a picture of the Particulars of Claim - with all your personal detail hidden of course.6 -
A sound theory, but one that removes some element of control. In the individual circumstance of our relationship, doing so would only come across as being controlling.Gr1pr said:

You didn't redact the password, I suggest that you do and replace the picture above in line with the forum advice in the yellow banners
No pcn is £140 so I suspect that it's a £70 pcn with an added £70 debt collectors fee, so the possible loss could be around £180 if it went to the wire
She should login to MCOL after 4pm today and complete the AOS online first, to extend the deadline, then logout
Adapt the parking eye dcb legal alternative template defence, you only need to adapt a couple of paragraphs, the rest is unchanged, save it as a PDF with her e-signature embedded, plus the case reference number and her details3
