Motorola G13 - calls going to voicemail
Hi all. I bought a G13 in April last year, and am on Spusu SIM/network.
Over the last few months, more and more of my calls have gone straight to voicemail (the phone doesn't ring at all). Spusu tell me that their network (EE) doesn't support the G13 for volte/WiFi calling on 4g although apparently my phone is 4g compatible? So calls revert to 2g, where signal is sporadic. 🤨
Is this a built in obsolescence by Motorola? Is anyone aware of any network that does support WiFi calling for the G13? I really didn't want to replace the phone less than a year after buying it!!
Any suggestions welcome (and apologies if I have terminology wrong - I'm definitely not a techie, so be gentle!😂

Hi there, I have a G13. Its actually a nicer phone in a lot of areas compared to the G14 my OH has. Its still being updated regularly though often a month behind the G14.How about switching off "Allow 2g" ?? (Emergency calls will still use 2g apparently).Thats Settings - Network &internet - mobile network - active sim - advanced - Allow 2g on mine.I'm assuming any messages will then just back up on the networks server until you are back in a 4g area?? You can ask your provider to switch off voicemail if its more trouble than its worth. I have 4g /wifi calling switched on.1

Have you tried turning on VoLTE?
When a network says it doesn't support , it doesn't mean it won't work just that they haven't tested it and can't help you set it up.

It may be called 4G Calling?
If you still can't see it then dial *#*#4636#*#*
Now look for the phrase VoLTE Provisioned . If it's off then turn it on.1 -
Just for info my G13 is on tesco mobile which is provided by O2, the phone was purchased from tesco mobile. I suppose its possible some are sold with slightly different software on them, but Wifi calling definitely works for me.

I think, by telling me their network doesn't support VoLTE/WiFi calling on my phone, they're telling me they can't provision? But I can't find out who will!0 -
The provisioning relates to the SIM not the handset.
You have a SIM only contract, the SIM should be provisioned for VoLTE because you can use the SIM in any phone or device of your choice. It's not like you bought the two together as a package.
They should not refuse to provision the SIM just because the current handset it is in, is one they haven't tried.
One difficulty with buying a SIM only contract is that you'll get poor support for the handset, certainly from budget providers where you need to be quite technical.
If I was you, I'd just call them and ask them to provision your SIM for VoLTE. Don't get into a discussion about handsets.
