The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.3

Thank you keithp. Could I ask one more question?. Is it possible to still use the smart parking appeal text even if my daughter didn't receive the first pcn?KeithP said:The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.0 -

I doubt that its from a court, more likely to be a Money Claim N1SDT pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL
Post a redacted picture of the claim form below after hiding the following personal & private information
Name and address of the defendant
Any QR codes
Claim form reference number top right
Password on the bottom right
VRM details in the POC on the lower left side

I'm sorry to hear you don't know what to do, given post 2 of the NEWBIES thread gives everyone an easy Template Defence. This is the stage you wanted and you could have read ahead and been ready for it.
Never mind, catch up with the advice for this stage now! Dead simple to do online. Don't get spooked.
In fact yours is the easiest and requires no draft writing by you. We have a bespoke defence, if this is Smart Parking. Here's the blurb & where to find it:
There is a current tsunami of Smart Parking claims. So much so, that I now have copy & paste advice ready:Just click on the username@MeltofCopy their version of a Smart Parking final defence posted on April 12th. Obviously, as they didn't use the POFA until 2025, theres no 'keeper liability' possible with Smart's claims for old PCNs.
These claims are all the same (none go to hearings) and the sheer numbers of Smart Parking claim threads - about half a dozen new ones EVERY DAY here - have driven us regulars a bit mad in April/May with this batch!Literally read any Smart thread…Follow the 8 steps in the Template Defence thread which also covers Mediation. It'll be discontinued just before the hearing fee falls due in the Autumn/Winter.Read @Umkomaas'thread of over 875 examples . And counting!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Make sure you tell us the date of issue of the claim form so we can advise you of your deadlines.

My advice log the defence tonight using the templated as advised by CM in her name on the portal.
