Apparently, Uber says:brightfuture20 said:I was under the impression drivers are not meant to help with bags due to risk of car theft. I know lots do but I don't think it's required. Too much flowery info to Uber you should have raised 2 bullet points - getting out without handbrake and the reversing down A6. Without cctv there isn't much they can do it's your word against his- Drivers may help with luggage, but it’s not guaranteed. Be courteous and inform them in advance about luggage needs.
Did the OP inform them in advance or was help simply expected?

Always put the most important point in a complaint first.
So the OP's most important point, as they see it, was 'driver stopped to get a coffee after I had given him permission to stop to get a coffee'.
I'm not surprised Uber aren't taking this seriously.1 -
The first (most important?) complaint was that the driver did not help with the bags.outtatune said:Always put the most important point in a complaint first.

You would think any driver would be willing to help with bags but I doubt they are obligated to. It may depend on the expectation/attitude/entitlement/politeness of the passenger of course....

Maybe he had a bad back.1

"started the trip off".Octavarium said:Hi all, sorry for what will be a lengthy post, but feel it's important to get the facts established.
An incredibly rude taxi driver started the trip off by refusing to help me put my shopping in the boot. I had four bags and he sat there watching me struggle. I couldn't even get them in properly because of the parcel shelf, which he was instructing me how to remove.
That is very clear.0 -
The OP's screenshots included several instances of their first name, mostly likely removed for that reason.outtatune said:

But their complaint to Uber started off by moaning about the stop for coffee.Pollycat said:Butouttatune said:

That is very clear.
A poorly structured, verbose complaint will never get the resolution the complainant wants.1
