MS Office issue

Our Kid has "Microsoft 365 apps for enterprise" on his W10 PC (I think I bought a 5 user bundle of eBay for a tenner in 2019)

It still works fine on my PC (I'm one of the other five users) but he has a strange issue ...
<< trying to make Word work, in vain. I can open Word and Excel but I can’t open Word or Excel documents or attachments. If an email comes in with a Word attachment I can’t open the attachment but I can do a quick print>>
He uses the stand-alone 'Outlook' email program to get his emails from his chosen ISP

I'm sure there's more questions needed but ... any pointers?

Have you tried either the quick repair on online repair?

He came, I saw, we conquered
    Did 'quick repair' no joy
Tried 'online repair' and outlook (new) appeared in the programs - tried that and it was asking for pop and smtp details for his farming.co.uk ISP which we couldn't get right!
Looked again in programs and saw outlook (no mention of new) and tried that - it opened emails but still gave an error message when opening Word attachments.
Restarted PC for about the 5th time and ... 🍾 it worked.
He's just emailed and reported 'all good'.

    Thanks   @HillStreetBlues for the help

    2019?
Erm... could it be that unless you've been paying the subscription fee, it has likely moved to Disabled status? It was probably in the Expired status beforehand. It lasts 90 days in that status before moving to Disabled.
    Look here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/commerce/subscriptions/what-if-my-subscription-expires?view=o365-worldwide
I think it affects the amount of licences available, but I cannot be sure.

    Morning
As I say, it all still works fine apart from when he has to open an MS Attachment from his MS Outlook program
It also works fine on the other users but they don't use Outlook.
    Error message here ...
