DCB Legal - discontinuation likely?

Hello all,

I have a County court date this week set for a parking invoice being pursued by DCB legal. Thanks to this forum I have been able to follow every step so far, including my defence and witness statement, that both me and the claimant have submitted. The crux of my defense and witness statement is essentially, the manager of the business I was visiting on the date of the invoice has requested the case be dropped, therefore there is no case to answer.

Based on the extensive experience of those on this forum, how likely is it that DCB legal discontinue just days ahead of the court date? I'm just trying to get an idea of whether or not the court date is likely to go ahead.

Thank you.

Just have a look at the discontinuations thread by Umkomaas,  nearly up to 500

Check if the hearing fee has been paid

Please note,  there is no S in Defence

Check your inbox and spam folder for any missing dcb legal emails too

Depends on which PPC? Excel, VCS and Spring Parking do continue with hearings.

    Did you get their WS?

Keep going, discontinuation likely. Just double check with the court tomorrow whether DCB Legal have paid the hearing fee as well as following the advice from @Gr1pr above re your spam email folder.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Thanks, I will check both. Court date is scheduled for 7th March, was wondering if they have a history of discontinuations so close to the date.

They have a history of discontinuing and not paying the hearing fee,  yet sometimes people haven't a clue until they check

Not receiving their WS bundle is a definite sign, if true

    Check , check,  check,  tomorrow

Odd that they are carryon on. Is this a multi-PCN case?

What's the total sum and what allegations?

I have had dcb legal persue me in the past from another PPC, but that was quickly discontinued when the business owner that the PPC serves asked to drop the PCN. Not sure if that is playing a part.
