Haveago Round!
Plans for buying plants and turf scuppered as the village post office is not working so I can't get the cash required. This is an occasional problem living in a village miles from proper shops. But hey ho, the countryside makes up for it. So I've decided to relax today, reading and puzzling. Dailies and dog walk are done. Will probably take Poppet out again later.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Morning all
Had a busy day & lovely late pub lunch with OH yesterday. Woke up 7.30ish, nearly go up, fell back to sleep & then it was 10.25!
Lovely day again so hoping for some garden pottering & line drying.
Weekend plan is the usual exercises parts 1& 2; opening of windows; air & remake bed; WM/DW/TD/S&S; PUPA & vacuum everywhere, plus ...
Open delivery of plate racks
Empty & clean chaotic crockery cupboard
Put in plate racks, stack plates/bowls tidily
Feel smug - racks were only delivered yesterday

This week went quick again and still didn't get much done.
Quick version of what's gone on - DD1 not well, the pharmacist (can't see a doctor for love round here) sent her to our local hospital who sent us to another hospital. Her other half has been working away, he came back, we did a swap over and I went to look after GS. That was 2 days gone.
She's been told to have 1 to 2 weeks off work to rest.
I went to bed last night not feeling great and still don't feel great now.
DW has been on but not yet emptied
Kitchen wiped round
Front room swept
Landing and stairs de-cat haired, just need to hoover it now.
New seat covers put on the sofas so now GS can't post things into the recliners, not that I use them.
Now having a coffee

Good afternoon all,
Predictably I have been outdoor flying at the allotment this morning. I was glad to come home after a couple of hours - the combination of couch grass and raspberry runners to remove is exhausting. Still, cheaper than the gym, plus I had the company of a robin for much of the morning. Yesterday I excelled myself by washing the greenhouse and then washing the car. 2 more jobs off a very long list.
We are out this evening to see friends, so dinner is planned to be a quick affair.
Keep meaning to say that I finally got to making twinks hobnobs last week. I am late to this party, but they will definitely be made again. None left now, so I have just made a batch of (healthyish) oat and yogurt muffins in the air fryer. My domestic godess-ing knows no bounds.
Next job is to WULTD, then find another outside job to cross off my list.
Hugs, sticks and spoons aplenty if needed. I’m waiting for Haveago Round to get a chainsaw. Maybe not, safer to leave that to Kaz 🤣6 -

Saturdailies
WUDUPA ✅
This afternoon I'm going to see Pops to have a coffee and a catch up. ✅
kaz - thankfully Elvis is mute. He doesn't even tick. If he did he would be leaving my bedroom toot sweet.
Fayolle - hmmm 🤔 There is a large conifer tree that needs to come down. And several smaller buddleias and conifers that need trimming. Maybe a chainsaw would be something to consider....see what you've done now! Giving me ideas that hadn't even crossed my mind. Mwahaha.
I found a secondary school polo shirt so I've washed it and will add it to DS's box of delights.
Athletics on telly again tonight. I deliberately didn't watch them this morning so I could get my Saturdailies done 😇

Round I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't bear a ticking clock. Several years ago we bought a new clock for the living room. I made the assistant in the shop put a battery in so I could check it didn't tick (she was very reluctant) and it was silent. I put my ear right on the front! Got it home and it was lovely for two days - and it's been ticking ever since. I think it may be haunted. Grrr.I got a washload dry outside today but only after the rotary line pole snapped half way through. Luckily the ground was bone dry and the washing was fine but we had to go out and get a new one. All in now though. The line was only about 3 years old which I don't think is very impressive.I got the car washed in the week too and cut the grass and generally tidied the garden round. And of course all the usual daily stuff.Hope everyone is well x6

Morning all,
Awake early, coughing. Not quite the same as up early, though.
Another one here who hates a ticking clock. My alarm clock was specifically bought as it said it was silent, and it actually is. Even when the alarm is set, it randomly doesn’t go off! We have inherited FiL’s click into our DR. It ticks, it chimes, it really annoys me and DD. DH sees no problem with it but promises me that there is a way to stop it chiming. He just can’t figure out how his father used to make that happen! So now it has stopped completely. And only one thing is more annoying - having 3 (yes, 3) clocks in one room that are all stopped and all on different times!!
This morning it is…guess what…allotment morning. But I am taking DH with me as I need to woman-handle some frames around and that job is easier with 2. Not sure yet exactly what the rest of the day will hold. Ah yes, I do need to set the wm on and plan for the annual dinner for 16 that it’s our turn to host next weekend. Eek.
