Just had interesting conversation with a builder's driver and his cab mate, along the lines ofI've got 5 pallets of red bricks for youI've not ordered any bricks.Well you are down for delivery, mean while cab mate already has unloaded on the lift thing the 1st pallet on to my drive, and is starting on the 2nd pallet.I shout loudly at both of them to stop, this brings out the lady from next door, and her builder, to check I am ok.I ask her if the bricks are for her builder, no they are not.Driver still holding his clipboard, and muttering at me.I tell him to ring his yard and check where the bricks are for, so he does but rings my phone (weird) So I ring the number on the side of the lorry......... it turns out after a lot of tooing and frooing, they should be in a town about 15 miles away (more muttering from the driver, who is now banging his pen on the clipboard, muttering it says here your address etc etc )Off the driver, cab mate, and all the bricks go.I like their office are puzzled as to why my address / phone numer are on the sheet and who put them there! they have assured me it will not happen again.Washing on lineOff to do guttering and power washingBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Lucky you were there to stop them rather than coming home to a driveway full of bricks. Hope your details haven't been leaked anywhere else.7

Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in TWO 😊, completed Connections with one life lost, eaten my breakfast and I'm supping a brew.
My two days training people went well. A very different couple this week to the pair that came last week, but I gelled well with both pairs. That's boosted my confidence and made me feel so much better about myself. (The last person that I had a hand in training nearly drove me demented and since then I've avoided training anyone else.)
This morning I'm on the other end of the stick and I'll be learning my new role. My poor brain!
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off, and call at PO on my way home to pay my rent and the leccy bill, and to buy a sympathy card for a friend - her mum died on Monday.
Love to all

Morning all,
Seems I forgot to post yesterday. Again.
Good job you were there to stop the bricks being unloaded, Kaz. Unsettling about your phone details being bandied around though.
It was a busy day yesterday. The things I am doing to pack in more exercise in the hope of being so sylph like that I can avoid the onslaught of Round’s slinky flingage. Like Redo, I am making the most of outdoor flying while I can. Bizarrely it is also making me squeeze in some actual flying so that I don’t lose a grip. So yesterday it was wm on, washing line dried, QHI to clear the mound before it became a pile. Bathroom cleaned, then off to the allotment for a couple of hours in the sun trying to reclaim land before the season really gets going. Back home, then I spent the afternoon in the garden, clearing along the back fence so that I could lay a narrow path. Theoretically it will help me get to the back of the border, we will see. Dinner cooked, kitchen given a quick s&s, then collapsed on the settee to finish my library book.
I am on repeat, so I will be off to the allotment in an hour or so. I am trying short bursts rather than long stints which tend to overwhelm me. I am so grateful that I currently have the freedom to do this.
Right, second cuppa, breakfast, then I’m on it. What a difference sunshine makes. Have a good day all x6 -
Morning all, another lovely day. Hoping to do some garden pottering today. I'm with Fayolle - doing the outdoor stuff seems to energise me to get on with the other stuff.

Morning all.
I'm in maintenance mode here - doing the dailies, plus little extras when they need doing - whilst continuing to concentrate on getting a new ancestral line sorted out. Making slow progress with that, but it's fun nevertheless, and I can manage to do research of some sort even on the days when I don't feel 100%. There have been a couple of those already this week. My desk is a little tidier than it was at the weekend, so that's good.
Today I have 2 appointments at the GP surgery (physio at 11 and long-term condition review at 3.25) as well as a fixed time for a phonecall with a friend in need of a listening ear - that's always a tricky one. DH has a 1.00 appointment with the podiatrist, so lunch will have to be late - I'll do Rosie's walk while he's out, if I can still move after the physio releases me!
The sunshine is lovely, the birds are busy building nests, the front garden is looking much better after J's visit on Tuesday when between us we weeded the raised bed and he dug out some of the ivy roots alongside the NDN's new fence, and the back garden delights us with new flowers in bloom almost every day.
Keep up the good work, everyone xxx7 -

2 long hours, if that is even possible, at the allotment this morning. I was definitely ready for a coffee when I got back. Progress is slow but visible, which helps motivation. Dinner is in the sc, I have pre-washed some dressmaking material which I bought myself for Christmas. It won’t be getting made up yet but at least it is ready. This afternoon I have been doing odd jobs around the garden. Now to wait for the Mr M delivery but as I have had neither the We Are On Our Way email or text, it isn’t looking promising.
Oh and the utility room cabinets, flooring etc was delivered today. How I laughed, as anyone might think that the work might actually get done in this decade.7
