(((Hugs))) and GWS vibes to Natty xx
Calming vibes to round xx
Well done, HB - you achieved more than I did today xx
Hope your early meeting goes smoothly, YL xx
I managed to clean out and defrost the FF in the kitchen.
I also looked in the utility FF and the larder cupboards and made myself a shopping list for tomorrow.
It's been quiz night on BBC2 so I plonked myself down on the sofa for 2.5 hours. I expect to have withdrawal symptoms next week - I'm not a chess player!
Only 4 more days until it's the weekend again, folks xxx7 -
well i’m here, most of the flying I do will be elsewhere but Im working on the laundry…WUALTD before I came to bed. Dw and WM locked and loaded.
i have changed the PIN on my phone SIM (who knew) having read this story. Googled for the default PIN from O2 which is 0000.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear6 -
Hope you feel better soon Natty.
I had a frustrating journey to DanceFit this morning, spent ages in queues at roadworks and ended up turning back as I still couldn't see the front of the q by 10.29 and my class starts at 10.30. However I did manage to get into the smaller town and went to the library, went to the PO a) for stamps (need a mortgage for those!) and b) to get cash out (seems the chip on my card is damaged and I need to ask for a new card - explains why I couldn't get cash out at Mr T last week). Posted a card. Got a few things from Mr T.
House completion successful today! So spent much of the rest of the afternoon on phone and internet cancelling the water, sewage cost and council tax - with varying degrees of success, but I think they are all done now from my end (council has an 8 week backlog so won't be doing anything for a while).
Reviewed session plan for tomorrow's student and checked some proof-reading I'd done on his work.
Went to zumba.
Have just spent ages trawling through emails between Mum and I as I have a feeling her best friend's birthday is in March and I wouldn't like to miss organising Mum to send her a card. I was sure she would have mentioned something like "Went out for W's birthday" but no luck. I have a feeling her birthday book is in her bureau in the care home, which isn't much help to me; I should have copied it so I can remind her.
Faffed about putting solar meter readings on web site and adjusting payment for gas/elec, not successfully.
So more admin than flying today although I did tidy some clothes up in the bedroom.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Morning all. Hope the poorlies feel better soon.
Wordle in four, no lines on connections, strands with eight hints.
Another day where I can do as I please. I'll sort sofa covers first.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
The clock doesn't tick 😊
Morning all xx
Thank you HB 😘 and iona 😘
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, completed Strands with three hints, completed Wordle in five, only managed two lines on Connections, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, eaten breakfast and I'm supping a brew.
I'm training a fresh pair of bods today and tomorrow, so I'm going in early to send the letter to my Claims company, and an email to the Council to say its in the Claim's company's hands. I want that done and out of the way before the bods arrived. Anxiety is still high but rationally I know I'm not liable...and anyway the only bit that fell off my car was the front bumper and I picked that up and put it in the back of my car. The debris was from the very smashed in front end of the car that hit me. (I know it's nothing on the grand scale of things but with training, being trained, all the uncertainty at work... I'm being trained on Macmillan, but no-one has actually told me I got the job! ... it's a nudge I didn't need. And breathe...)
Thoroughly enjoyed the Only Connect final last night. Even managed to get a couple of answers!
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off.
Have a good day.

morning all
nailed Strands in double quicktime getting the Strand word (?) first, wordle in 4 connections 1 life lost so an excellent start.
WM x 2. Loving this weather for line drying.
STILL need to catch up an admin.
Great news on the completion Narco. Sad times but at least it’s sorted. mum will be leaving her care home on the 18th to try again at home now her meds are sorted and seem to be effective.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear8 -
Morning all,
GWS vibes to Natty and all poorlies. Eltee, do those exercises…
The house completion must be a relief, Narc0.
Good luck today, Round.
Yesterday was definitely an outside day - allotment and back garden. The new lawn mower was delivered so DH tested it on the front grass. 1 load of washing dried, a couple of bits of mending done, I’m sure there was more but maybe not.
This morning I have stripped the bedding which is now in the wm, getting ready for another day of line drying, which I’m also loving. I will go to the allotment again. I am trying to do just short but regular sessions, in the vague hope that I will achieve more without overwhelm and also not aggravate my leg/ hip whatever it is that is playing up. I also need to keep up with the flying, just when I was getting myself back in the groove.
Pancake day today - DH has been niggling about it, think he hopes that he gets more with DD not being here!
Have a good day all x

Morning, I have been missing this week so far as I had an exam yesterday.
My list for today
Do paid stuff
Do exam revision (next exam tomorrow)
Take the dog for a long walk
Wash up the dishes, dry and put awayHoover the living room carpet
Dust the living room
Update finance spreadsheet
Go through uni modules for this semester and print any required paperwork
Catch up on important phone calls and make any upcoming appointments.
Make a start on the next uni assignment (aim for 100 words)
Do some work on uni assignment due next week (aim for 300 words)
Do some last minute exam revision before bed (I hate morning exams and much prefer afternoon exams as I like to do last minute cramming in the morning)
Get an early night
I think that is everything that I need to get done today. Hope everyone has a productive Tuesday.9 -
Morning All,
I must try harder this week.
I had the Grandson yesterday but no DD2 to help so I had to do lots of playing. Grandson knows he comes to Nanny's to play for the day so that's what we have to do! We also visited the Greats.
1st coffee had and meds taken.
DW unloaded
Airer emptied and washing put away
Kitchen floor swept, I'll mop it later in the day when I won't be going in and out the kitchen.
I'm waiting for my Mr T delivery, I miss doing my own shopping but a delivery is cheaper than a taxi 🤷♀️
I've started clearing the kitchen table which is a dumping ground. I need someone to make me get rid of carrier bags and recipes, I found 2 big folders full (neatly filed) that I don't think have ever been used. Why can't I just put them in the paper recycle?
I also wish I could find a local charity shop thats taking items. Its getting disheartening bagging things for them not to go anywhere.

Wendy Witch - Foodbanks will gladly take any carrier bags you've got, the bigger the better but whatever you have would be useful. I binned almost all of my saved recipes and haven't missed them. The internet is a marvellous thing.I've been a bit over-ambitious on the Goal front this year, and I may not be able to do a Sugar-Free Lent. I've been reluctant to address this but I think I have to. I have a bit of a health issue going on and I'm fine in a 'Vaguely Wandering About Clutching a Teaspoon and a Peg Thinking I Should Do Something Constructive' kind of way but not much else, a mindset I think a few Flyladies might find familiar. So, sorry to let anyone down who was thinking of doing Sugar Free Lent together with me. Today's job is to pack a bag for an outpatient visit on Saturday so I don't have to worry about forgetting anything. It's why I haven't been posting much, well, that's a useful excuse - I'm not doing much Flying so that's probably why I haven't posted. Anyway, not to worry, I'm having excellent care from the GP surgery and local hospital, so good it's actually impossible to reconcile what's happening to me with the news headlines about the NHS. I heart the NHS.I'm going to see if yesterday's laundry is dry and whether it's worth doing another load. That, I can manage.Better is good enough.9
