I sent my Galaxy note 9 device to the Samsung trade in offer when ordered new device from the official Samsung .UK website. They accepted my device for a total GBP 50.
Unfortunately when I returned my new device withing 14 days of period as its not working as good, the Samsung trade in team is offering only GBP 10 saying that the market value, and also can not return the device otherwise. My question is when they accept device it was GBP 50 and how could I accept just 10 bucks now ? Should not it be 50 GBP as they did earlier ?
They quoted the 'Terms of trade in ' as following :
My question and dilemma, is whether should I accept 10 bucks or pursue this unfare treatment in the court of law or any other way? Please advice.

Please see terms below:
6.3 If you exercise your right to cancel and return your product during the 28-day cooling off period, or if we have agreed to pay you a refund because the product, we have provided you with is defective, we will endeavour to return your Existing Handset to you, but we cannot guarantee its return. In the event that we are unable to recover your Existing Handset, we will provide you with a cash equivalent price for the Existing Handset, based on the price currently payable for your Existing Handset on the Samsung Recycle website www. samsungrecycle. co. uk. Any such cash payment will be made by MTR, on behalf of Samsung.
My question and dilemma, is whether should I accept 10 bucks or pursue this unfare treatment in the court of law or any other way? Please advice.

You sent them a device that was not in good condition

Forgetting what they offered for a moment, what is your device actually worth? What would CEX have offered you for it?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1

What unfair treatment? They are doing what you signed up to as you are no longer trading in.
However, the cash equivalent price I can see for the Note 9 on that website is £40 not £10. I would go back and challenge the cash equivalent price in their T&C's.1 -

Is your old handset valued at £10 on that site, both currently and at the time of the original purchase?gvndsoni20 said:In the event that we are unable to recover your Existing Handset, we will provide you with a cash equivalent price for the Existing Handset, based on the price currently payable for your Existing Handset on the Samsung Recycle website www. samsungrecycle. co. uk.1 -
Thanks, they costed same device 50 bucks and now they offer 10 and can not return the device upon request as well. I would be happy with device as it was working great.Browntoa said:You sent them a device that was not in good condition

Cex would give 74 GBP in cash for same device, so market value is not definitely 10 GBP, which in their own case was not when received by themselve.0 -
At the time of sending the device they valued it 50 GBP .eskbanker said:

Thanks , thats the actual unfair part, they themselves costed it to be 50 when received and processed , and now offering 10 GBP . Also market value is not 40 , on CEX it is 78 but still I would have accepted 40 according to TandC I agreed to, but 10 bucks, just because I want my device back ?400ixl said:What unfair treatment? I’d argue about it with CS for a bit, then issue a LBA, followed by court proceedings claiming £50.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
Are you saying that the value as shown at www.samsungrecycle.co.uk was £50 at the time and is now £10, which is what I was asking?gvndsoni20 said:
