Take an 4 way extension lead to use with your UK/US adaptor and use your normal chargers for phone / kindle etc.

    Probably cost you nothing then.
We used to do that but just find an extension with several chargers was far too bulky.
My travel adaptor works in US, Europe and Australia, has a single universal socket on the front, 2 USBA and 2 USB2 sockets 65W GAN. Not much bigger than a single charger, just need to pack that and the required cables.
For the OP and you thats probably fine but for those with wive's who want their hairdryer, straighteners, hot air brush thingy etc that they want to be able to use abroad a 4 way plus a multi-USB-C port charger is a necessary evil, else I'll plug something into charge in the morning, come back 45 minutes later and it will still be at 10% because she decided to unplug it to use her straighteners.
The OP is talking about a cruise.
I have seen postings Facebook, X and other sites that say that cabin stewards will confiscate extension cords, for safety reasons.

PS: Mrs O does that to me all the time, even at home, I find her hair is dry and my phone has no charge. :(
What safety reason?  I'd be putting it away after use anyway unless in an AirBnB type place where no one else comes in.

At home my bedside charge is inaccessible so the risk then is reduced to her just taking mine off charge to charge her own. I have one charger there and a 65w in my bag for work. At last count she had 8 chargers, inc 2x c65w but she never remembers where she put hers and mine is always in the same place. Thankfully it's a MagSafe charger so she can't use it for her iPad, headphones, speaker or other plethora of devices.

Safety reason is no RCD and potential to overload.  A fire on board a cruise ship isn't generally welcomed.

Parents have been doing it for years on probably 50+ cruises now. Never ever been an issue or confiscated, but equally they tend to use it when in the room and not leave things charging unattended.

Can understand if the room is empty and a whole bunch of devices are left plugged in, no matter what type of charger it is would be a safety hazard.

Especially if using high power devices like a hairdryer which could use 2kW, some travel adapters won't cope with that on it's own, let alone if other devices are using it as well.

Looks like dumb extension leads are fine, its those with surge protectors in them that are an issue

Not surprising, some people are incredibly ignorant about electricity. I know someone who didn't have enough plug sockets in his kitchen and so plugged a kettle, microwave and toaster and all through the same extension lead and wondered why it kept fusing when he was making his breakfast  :D

Also most rooms on cruises now have USB sockets available anyway for charging mobile devices so the whole thing is probably moot for the OP anyway.

Just take their existing UK-US adapter and a 3 pin USB charger, then also use the other USB outlets in the room.

I bought what you are looking for in Bodycare last week - £2.99.

I can't see one with USB sockets though?
The one on the right is a "2 port USB adapter"! If OP only need USB charging then that's all she'll need. Not sure what the Kindle uses but presumably the androids are USB charging.
Correct, top row, right - has 2 x USB type A (female) ports - as long as you have the (usually supplied with device) charging cable with type A (male) connectors at one end and the appropriate device connection at the other end.
The newer Kindles use type C at the device end, older models the micro USB version.
The product I flagged up is specifically for the North America region.

Thanks, it would just be for charging my Kindle, phone and tablet (both Android). I believe there is also a European socket in the cabin.
This for the European (Schuko) cabin sockets.
There is also a newer model which has one type A port (as in the image) and a type C port - the latter has almost become the standard pattern supplied with newer devices.
I have one of each - decent quality adaptors at reasonable prices......fortunately we are near one of their stores.
